Kawana
Hello all. Our group of three arrived at the park at around 9:40. After entering and waiting for the ropes to drop we were of to Firehawk at the request of the female of the group, Kelly. Unfortunately Firehawk was "experiencing a mechanical delay" so it was on to FoF for a 20 minute wait. The other male in the group, Mike, was wondering about FoF. They are regular Cedar Point visitors so I told them "It's kind of like Disaster Transport but it doesn't suck." (my apologies to all the DT fans out there) Impressed with FoF, it was decided that after a quick check on Firehawk, which was still down it was on to Vortex. A virtual walk on into the back car and both were suitably pleased. On to BLSC which I told them was a nice little ride, and that was about a 10-15 minute wait. Next was The Beast and an actual walk on ride. Being Mike's first time on The Beast, I think he was pleasantly surprised. Kelly has a thing about wooden coasters, so she sat out. Next was the Crypt. Much to my delight, there are now lights strung on the left side of the queue. Thanks CF! The Crypt was insane as usual and both were happy with the ride. Over to Firehawk, and a 25-30 minute wait. I loved it as usual, but Kelly was expecting more, Mike thought it was great. Lunch time and over to the picnic grove we go. That is a huge area and it certainly seems to be quite the money maker for CF. Our lunch consisted of hot dogs, soy burgers, and fried chicken and potato salad. The chicken was dry, I heard, but I did get full so I can't really complain. I did get plenty of soda, and an ice cream bar, so that was nice. There was a raffle with numerous prizes including a huge grill, several bikes, dvd players, patio furniture, power tools, toys, etc but none of our three won anything. After a quick stop to the car for sunscreen, it was on to Invertigo. Great ride as always. Onto Flight Deck and an unusual sight. A line!!! A 15 minute line at that. Next was Delirium which Mike refused to ride but Kelly liked a lot. Another line was found at Adventure Express which was found to be "better than the Cedar Creek Mine Ride." Over to the Crypt again, another ride on BLSC, and a trip on the Blue Racer and we were about done, much to my chagrin. Mike had wanted to ride SoB so of course I obliged. A 20 minute or so wait, and we were on. His exact words were "Well, now I've done it." I love the ride and I hope that's not most people's thoughts after riding. I was ready for more, but being as I rode with them down to the park, it was time to go at about 7. I don't really know what they thought of the park, but the general feeling I got from them was "It's not Cedar Point." Well not much is but I still love KI and I believe it will only get better and closer to rivaling Cedar Point with time. Terpy, you were right about the drinks. I don't know why I doubted you. Overall, a fun, but shortened trip. Thanks for reading.
The Interpreter
Great trip report. Old Terpy's been around the food business, and the park business, a long time. Perhaps that's why he is surprised about the nickel increases in some things this year!
Kawana
I like to eat healthy as much as the next guy but soy burgers? Are the cost savings that great? WE WANT MEAT!!! I would have paid two, even three more nickels for real meat.
The Interpreter
Did the park identify them as soy burgers? If not, how are you certain that is what they were?
KIBeast
Sounds like a good time! And to think, someone enjoyed SOB! Yikes! 3200 posts!

Sometimes it's a little rough after the sun's set, but otherwise, it's a must ride. (especially with short lines)
