The Interpreter
Here we go again: AGAWAM - The president of Six Flags New England expressed concerns about pedestrian safety on Route 159 during a recent appearance before the City Council. "The reality is that it's just an incredibly unsafe situation," Six Flags President Larry D. Litton told the council. The park began its seven-day-a-week operation on Friday. It had been open on weekends since April. He said there are seven private properties allowing parking along Route 159, or Main Street. Some of the lots are as far away as the Connecticut state line, he said. The property owners compete against Six Flags' $15 parking fee and charge $5 to $10.... As opposed to the $15 and up SFNE charges. Is safety really his concern? Or is it more the safety of corporate parking coffers? http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/200...category=Agawam
