Minor Change to the Wallenda walk at Kings Island, 4th of July

There was a small change in the plans for the Rick Wallenda walk at Kings Island. Due to having a better viewing area, Wallenda will no longer be walking over Coney Mall, but will now be walking a 1,000' distance 112' above International Street as a warm up at 2pm. Later at 7pm, Wallenda will attemp the sky walk again and DOUBLE the distance by walking the 1,000' distance and then immediately turning around and doing it again! Do I have to mention that he'll have nothing between him and the ground -- no safety nets -- except for 10,000 gallons of water shooting up at him from the Royal Fountain?

In addition to the Wallenda walk, there will also be 70s styled entertainment, mimes, jugglers, and the Clown Band!

Kings Island will be the place to be this 4th of July!

I think the walk over Coney Mall would've been nicer, especially saying that they used to have acts over the mall at Coney Island. Oh well, it'll still be nice I guess. Will it be the same rope as planned at 2 pm? Like, Eiffel Tower to flag-pole? Or was it extended with that additional 100 feet?

The walk over I-Street was expanded to cover the 1,000' distance required to do the 2,000' world-record breaking distance. When he does the 2,000' distance, there will be no breaks at the end... he'll be required to turn around on his own and walk.

Wow!! The park is bigger than it seems!!! I never realized that distance was a quarter of a mile, give or take.......No wonder I lose weight in the summer..... And, I'm in a lot better shape than I ever imagined..... I wonder how many miles I walk during a park visit??!!?? I guess I shoud buy a pedometer......

I've always thought about doing that... I don't feel so bad about eating how I want at KI since I figure I walk 5 miles every time I go. lol

But yeah, this thing should be incredible. You may just hear what Mr. Wallenda has to say about it in the next few days courtesy of the gang here at KICentral.
