Jasper
Man what more can i say other than today was a great day at the parl. Other than a little rain in the morning to close down the rides for about half an hour or an hour the day was perfect. There wasnt hardly any lines and all the pay per rides were 5 dollars which i cant complain with because i did both XSF and Slingshot. Towards the middle of the day the crowds started to pick up a lil bit as the sun came out from behind the clouds. Got multi rides on almost everything except Firehawk and Invertigo. We went to hit the Crypt at the end of the day at about 8 or so and it was closed down. Does anyone know what was up with this? I also noticed the new signs for the 2009 attraction. Very nice. Jasper
Sorry yes 7/9 i am very sorry. Now that i have more time and i am not rushed i will tell you more. Got to the park and there was no one in the lot and walked to The Beast to find no line which was great. Then headed to BLSC which also had no line. Then it started to rain so we went to the 3 Point Shootout and stood under the umbrella. I shot my round in the pouring rain and only made 2 haha. When the rain finally stopped we headed to Slingshot to find no line and only a 5 dollar fee. I am starting to really love this ride. I dont think i like it more than XSF but i like it a lot. After that we headed to the only thing that looked like it was open and that was Delirium. We waited about 2 cycles and we were on with hardly no wait. After Delirium the coasters were still not open so Drop Tower which is my favorite ride in the park now was open with no wait so we hit that up. This was the first of our 5 rides on it that day. Then my uncle had always wanted to do XSF and it also had no line a 5 dollar fee so went over to it and rode that. This in my opinion is way better than the slingshot. I had forgot just how high you get when you are up there and when you pull that ripcord you dive straight down and it is an amazing feeling. And then an amazing thing happened, Invertigo started running. With about a 20 minute wait we were on. I looked at the ground going backwards through the vertical loop and i came close to blacking out. Fun ride though. So now that the coasters were back up going we went over to SOB to find no line yet but as soon as we got in line here comes everyone right behind us. To me after the first drop the coaster is not even fun but i have to say it does have one of the best first drops on any wooden coaster. Now it was time to eat and we went to Outer Hanks and i had some fish and shrimp. Next in line was The Blue Racer. This was the roughest ride of the day for some reason but still a fun wooden coaster. Now dont ask but for some reason we back tacked all the way to Flight Deck and rode it with a 2 train wait. So far it has been a good day right, well we look up and there is the sun blaring out and it just seemed like people came in droves from everywhere and the lines started to get even heavier. So we said that we should just do Firehawk so the line doesnt get any bigger. It came down to about a 20 minute wait not too bad for an amazing ride. Immediatly after we hit up FOF which was backed out the door but with no turnstials open. We rode in the very front seat which was a pretty cool view sitting in the station and just looking down a big black hole. After FOF Vortex was literally a walk on there was no one in the station or anything shockingly. After Vortex it was pretty much a repeat day but we decided to also go over to Nick Central to hit up Runaway Reptar, Avatar, Wild Thornberry's, and SDATHC. Overall it was an amazing day nothing more i could ask for. I got to ride my baby Drop Tower 5 times the whole day which was amazing. I was also very happy to come back to The Beast and hear Gabe on the mic talking up a storm and getting everyone really pumped up. Big ups to Gabe.
