KIBeast
WV may need to change, but from what I understand and have seen personally, Ohio is ok. They check at the beginning of a season and have been known to show up unexpectedly throughout the year.
The Interpreter
Only three US states have full time, year around ride safety inspectors: California, Florida and Ohio. And Florida exempts the large theme parks like Busch Gardens Africa, Seaworld Orlando, the Disney Complex and the Universal Complex from its inspection programs... iChase
Only three US states have full time, year around ride safety inspectors: California, Florida and Ohio. And Florida exempts the large theme parks like Busch Gardens Africa, Seaworld Orlando, the Disney Complex and the Universal Complex from its inspection programs... Why does it exempt it? Doesn't it seem like the larger parks would actually require more inspection?
The Interpreter
Florida relies on the large parks to self-inspect and self-certify. So far at least, that system has worked very well indeed.
iChase
Well it's certainly a good thing that it's working well but wouldn't two heads be better than one?
The Interpreter
One might think so, but the parks in Florida lobby hard to keep the situation they have.
iChase
Hm, well as long as it works for them and no one gets hurt.
