Captain Picard
I bet by November the park won't be open at all.
The Interpreter
As the park tries to spin this in a favorable light: http://www.theledger.com/article/20080729/...d_by_Many_Parks
dare-to-fly
I hope for the best on this one, because I loved Cypress Gardens. Starliner was amazing, and Triple Hurricane was a blast for a junior coaster.
WooferBearATL
Ahhh, does not bode well. That would be unfortunate if the park closed. It looks like that is a distinct possibility.
The Interpreter
And now, $5 admission on September Fridays.... http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/features_...ss-gardens.html
Captain Picard
I remember when they would let you in with a pass from any park. If it's still 5 when I am down there I will go. It's worth 5 dollars and it might not be there next time.
marlfox_21
I think that this is a smart move by Cypress Gardens. It is a beautiful little park. One that offers a great family atmosphere. Much like it's sister, Wild Adventures in Valdosta Georgia. But Wild Adventures does not have the landscaping of Cypress. Ahhh, The mentioning of Silver Springs in Ocala. I would love to have a moment to go there. That is the most pleasant park experience one could possibly hope for in Florida. From landscaping, tranquility, and peace. The park is brilliant, really. If you ever want to get away from it all, go to Silver Springs. Just don't go on a concert day, unless you are there specifically for the concert. Oh and if you go, get your picture taken in the circling palm tree next to the springs. It's supposed to bring you 10 years of good luck!!!! The Interpreter
Wild Adventures did not originally have and no longer has any connection with Cypress Gardens. . .
marlfox_21
I know Terpy. But living down here, not calling W.A. a sister to C.G. is like living in Ohio and desiring to refer to The Beastie the Fairly Odd Coaster. Besides, Wild Adventures lost my respect ( mostly ) when they decided to bring in a Zonkey for this season. You guessed it, a zebra and a donkey. A.K.A....Biological Garbage. No sense in putting pieces together that were simply not meant to fit. But you will notice that W.A. is not accredited by the A.Z.A.
