gnarkiller
Monday I arrived at Chicago with my cousin Nick (angrybeaver). First we Checked into the Embassy Suites and dropped our luggage off in the room. After that we decided to see the sights and walk around. We went on a trolley and acted like bugs. Also a homeless person asked if we had any fried chicken in our pockets. We wanted to go see oprah but we didnt know where her studio was...... We wanted a free car. Other than that the day was pretty boring besides going on the Sears tower where I snapped some great pics. Day two: The Adventure to SFGA Yesterday Nick and I woke up around 9:00am. We had some nasty hotel food that was cold. Noon we arrived at the park. The first thing we rode was King Chaos. I would say it was about a five minute wait. I think i liked it a little bit more than Crypt since it was outside. Next we rode V2 it was about 20 minute wait. I really love the back spikes holding brake. Third we rode Batman and I loved the way we pulled some G's in the back. It was about 15 minute wait. Next we rode Iron Wolf. I've heard its the roughest B&M but I thought it wasnt that rough until the corkscrew. I believe we rode American Eagle next and to be specific we rode in the blue train since two of them we're running on the blue side and the red side only had on train running. The air time was amazing!!! Then we rode Demon which was probably most smooth Arrow Dynamics I have ever ridden. Then we went and pullde some excellent g's on Whizzer! I loved this coaster!!! Raging Bull was our next destination we waited about 30 minutes. It was cool we watched some show about Six Flags Great Adventure in line. We got some pretty good airtime but the trims stopped a little bit of our fun. Nex we rode Viper which was AWESOME!!! The only thing that sucked was It was banked very well on the turns. After that we went and waited about an hour and a half for Dark Knight which I thought was really overrated and a waste of valuable time. After that waste we went and rode Ragin Cajun which I didnt really care for. Once we got off Ragin Cajun we went to Superman Ultimate Flight. The only thing I really liked about it was the first drop and the pretzel loop. We waited about 30 minutes. Then we rushed to Spacelys Sprocket Rocket which was the biggest tallest fastest scariest ride at the park! It was so scary that I almost cried! Then we went to our last ride of the day the second side of American Eagle. It got stuck on the chainlift for about ten minutes. I was hoping we would get stuck and have to go down the cat walk but of course we didn't. After that we left back to our hotel in Chicago. Day three coming soon... Nicks going to have a PTR soon. The Interpreter
The American Eagle is one of the moodiest coasters I have ever ridden. I have had great rides on it....and I have been bored nearly to tears. Glad you had fun. And they are showing films about Great Adventure in queue lines at Great America? Maybe it's just me, but that seems like a wasted opportunity for Six Flags... Viper is truly a gem. I know a lot of people who prefer it to The Coney Island Cyclone, on which it is modeled. Glad you had fun. I have never had a great ride on the Eagle. Even though this year, some of the "washing machine" feeling was gone from the ride (I believe that they retracked portions), riders were complaining that it gets worse every year. Viper is truly a gem. I know a lot of people who prefer it to The Coney Island Cyclone, on which it is modeled. Yah, Viper Rocks!

Isn't Viper a mirror image of The Coney Island Cylcone.
The Interpreter
It certainly isn't....unless you want to say it is LOOSELY so. The Coney Island Cyclone is one of a kind...and there are those who think that is a very good thing. And yes, I know rcdb says it is: http://www.rcdb.com/id10.htm That's their tale for it, I'm sitting on mine! Terpy, who, of the operating Cyclones, prefers the one in Georgia to the rest.... DropZone99
Terpy, who, of the operating Cyclones, prefers the one in Georgia to the rest.... You prefer the Georgia one? This is just my opinion but, i found the Georgia one rough, and un-enjoyable. Viper was amazing though, one of the best woodies i have been on! Im about to start uploading pics of my PTR of SFGA/Chicago.
The Interpreter
Not only do I prefer the Georgia one, but it is one of my two favorite wood coasters (the other is Tremors at Silverwood in Idaho). I almost always sit in the back seat, usually on the left side.... By the way, most people use SFGA only to refer to Six Flags Great Adventure. Great America is normally called SFGAm...and I call Great Adventure SFGAd for clarity...

The Interpreter
A lot! I really don't even keep track of most coasters any more, and I am well past the point of being able to rank coasters...though I do know my top two wood and my top steel...the latter would be Maverick, but only in the front seat! It supplanted Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England...though Volcano: The Blast Coaster will always have a place reserved in my heart. I adore that thing.
