Kings Dominion Halloween Haunt Website is Up

Some rather curious things there...including telling people to use the picnic area and get their hand stamped if they bring their own food...and elsewhere telling them there is no re-entry on Fridays or after 7 on Saturday or Sunday. Sigh.

I dont get the whole being upset about the no reentry thing, its for a good reason. The people who attend these events skew more towards the teenager, drunk crowd then the average amusement park guest; those are the people you dont want aimlessly wandering around a parking lot or going back to their car to get "reloaded." Protest how you dont, but the fact is there are a lot of people there who would if they could. The park is only open for 6 hours after this ban takes place, thats really not much longer then a football game, hockey game, and in some cases, shorter then a baseball game all of whom have the same rule (no reentry.) Just so long as like KI there are many signs posted everywhere about this, I dont have a problem with this rule, besides you only have 6 hours to do all the Haunts, shows and get your night rides on the fog filled coasters, its not enough time as is, why waste a moment of it in the parking lot?

I don't have a problem with the no re-entry...I DO have a problem when Kings Dominion tells people they can use the picnic area (on the Haunt website, no less), but doesn't mention if they leave the park to do so on Friday or after 7 on Saturday or Sunday, they can't get back in the park unless they buy another ticket at nearly $55.
