I think this has to be the worst misleading article ever. I mean (in my opinion) it leads the reader to think the cut backs are because of the economy.

Pleasure Island has been rumored to be closing for years, because low crowd draw from the resorts and trouble from locals. They are putting more night clubs closer to the resorts and strong rumor that the popular Adventure Club will resurface else where.

The fireworks at Fantasmic are a move to get more Guests to go to the Final American Idol Show due to open soon, If not no one would go to the Idol show. I think the guests will revolt on this one.
