Tips for a HHN First Timer

Featured Replies

After continually watching past years of HHN on YouTube, my family and I have decided to take a trip down to Orlando this year to HHN. I am not too sure about any of the 'basic' things to expect, but I may need to know.

1. Re-entry?

2. Bringing 2 10 year olds. They don't scare easily. Will they allow them in?

And... A Biggie.

3. What to expect?!

I don't know about re-entry.

Yes, I believe you can take in 10 year olds in but I wouldn't. The times I been there I haven't seen many 10 year olds at HHN.

If you don't get a express passes expect to stand in line and miss half of the event. It will be packed and you will not have time to go out of the park and return. The lines are like what you find when a new ride opens at KI or Cedar Point. Express pass lines are little or no wait.

You will find many answers here:

Your day admission will NOT get you in. Your HHN ticket will get you ONE entry. No re-entry. And unless you buy the express pass, you WILL spend most of your night waiting on ONE attraction. That's a virtual guarantee. Get your tickets before you go, too; for two reasons: ( a ) they sell out, almost every night and ( b ) they are much cheaper in advance.

I’ll just add maybe an alternative.

If you are in the area and since you have younger ones in your party you may want to go as a group or split up between parks and attend the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. It’s not haunted houses or scary/provocative scenes, but great clean not scary entertainment with villians used in parades, trick or treating numerous shows and the best fireworks show I have ever seen. Plus everyone can dress up in costume there. Here is a link to the MNSSHP

you can also search youtube for videos of the event. either way have fun.

^Or better yet, do both. A two week trip to Florida where I hit Howl-O-Scream, HHN, the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP is high on my list of things to do. Sadly I dont have enough money at the moment.
