italianchef
Last night I went to Kings Island's Media Night with 3 friends. It was spectacular, KI knows how to treat the media. A decorated ambulance took us to Wings Diner for an awesome buffet. The food was so good that I devoured beef and chicken (though I seldom eat meat), vegetables, cake, bread, fruit, and other goodies. I probably ate twice as much as usual. After that, we were taken to Urgent Scare, which is supposed to be a hospital were the medical staff and patients are infected with a plague. I thought that it was cute, but would've been funnier if "doctors" torturing patients said something to the effect of, "this is what we do to patients without health insurance." Just a thought. We also saw Ghouls Gone Wild, the other new attraction for 2008, in the Festhaus. The music, dancing, and show were AWESOME! But I take issue with the name of the show because there were no ghouls in the cast, which consisted of a sexy witch, a vampiress, Frankenstein, the bride of Frankenstein, a mummy, and a werewolf. To my knowledge, a ghoul is a demon that eats people, the dead, and in some cases, the undead. The show was awesome, but the name didn't suite it. In addition, we experienced Club Blood (always good, though a bit different this year), Massacre Manor (somewhat better this year), Trail of Terror, The Worksite, RedBeard's Revenge, Carnevil, The Racer, Adventure Express, and Dead Awakening. I must say that I was very impressed with the young lady who was the lead vocalist. She is extremely talented. We left after 11:30 p.m. because my ride was tired. Otherwise, I would've stayed until 1 a.m. to do all of the haunts. Overall, I am most pleased with Halloween Haunt this year. Best regards, Italian Chef
BoddaH1994
The name was intended to be a funny play on "Girls Gone Wild." It served its purpose.
WooferBearATL
The name was intended to be a funny play on "Girls Gone Wild." It served its purpose. Darn, you beat me to the punch! Not only did it serve a purpose, but is also quite creative.
Karen
hey Italian didn't you see them eating those body parts?? The mummy held his little jar of eyes!!! I thought it was really good and very funny in parts. The werewolf was very active!!! I thought it was adoreable that he came down to sing to the kids in front!!! Really a cute touch!! They had the meet and greet or as they say the "greet the meat" afterward which was also a nice touch. It was nice meeting you in person there buddy!!! Hope to see you again soon! Karen
Karen -- you never told us what you thought of Ghouls Gone Wild. Awwww I didn't????? lol.. Well I thought it was an awesome show and have seen it at least four times!! I don't want to spoil the fun but if anyone goes to see it - really pay attention to the mummy's surprise. One of the cutest parts is when the Frankenstein's monster sings "If you want my body and you think I'm sexy". That guy really gets into it!!! Again I like the warewolf singing to the kids in the audience - last night he jumped on a table of young adults right next to us!! I could go on and on about that show - it is a mixture of cute, funny, and just listening to the oldies is always a favorite of mine which is why I loved the summer shows so much. It only has a few adjustments that take it from kid friendly to Haunt worthy!! The Greet the Meat afterward is fun as well. The mummy has this awesome pose he gives that I was fortunate enough to get!!! Kings Island entertainment management is really good at finding awesome talent for their shows. Did Kevin have a hand in this production as well? I see him running around the place a lot.
Shman
Kevin was "The" hand in this show. He came up with the complete concept and song choices (along with a little help from some other managers). But this is another show that was completely designed by Kings Island Entertainment....adding it to the growing list of the last few years: -Gouls Gone Wild -Dead Awakening -Flashback! Totally 80's -The County Line -Girls Night Out -Hot Island Rhythms -Star Search Live!
