Guest rcfreak339
Hello! I went to Kentucky Kingdom for the 24th time this year today and this time I brought my camera so let's bring on the photos! Well here we are! Me big pumpkin maniac! Give me some children! Well KK really does keep the guests entertained while there waiting for the park to open. KK is setting up for Freight Fest next week! My first coaster of the day was Roadrunner a very normal Wild Mouse... blah as you can see It was packed today! Greezed Lightnin is a very fun Shuttle loop! Greezed Lightnin's Loop and spike That's the highest we got on the back spike... Well what are we going to do with the rainbow boss? Lets make a dang Fright Fest Decoration out of it! View of the Wave pool and the SLC! Don't worry I see you! Big Wheel Chang towers over everything in the park! I think I've heard this element called the "Speed Carousel" or something... Holy F$%& DO YOU SEE THAT LINE! nerd shot... sexy... B&M goodness! I love this picture! Final Picture of Chang is an awsome corkscrew shot! Well T2 was next...yay.. The lift to back pain and Headaches. Well no one wants to ride T2 today! Maybe there all much smarter then me... to my surprise today it wasn't that bad! Almost! Overview of T2 Great Slide! Blizzard River got Owned by the wind storm! Woohoo! Are you ready for some airtime? walk-on! Roaring through a Bunny Hill! SFKK just doesn't feel right without Twisted Twins and Mile High Falls Mini Vekoma! Awww Someone broke Road Runner! Bounty One of KK new Haunts! Nightmare INC. Looks like KK went all out on the scenery for the Haunt this year... Wait? Whats missing here? blah Thank you for reading my Trip Report! Now, I really thought the park today was "ok" Chang was the only coaster that really didnt need anything...Everything on the ride side needs to be painted! Thunder Run need new trains and needs to be retracked bad! It was really sad walking through the empty park looking at all rides that looked horrible and remembering how it once was... :-[
Guest TombraiderTy
I have still yet to visit SFKK, but it looks like you had a good time. What replaced Superman: Power Tower? That little fountain?
Guest rcfreak339
No, The fountian has always been there, The only thing that replaced it was some flowers since nothing else really fits there.
Tomkatt7
WOW.... Was the place even open? Did you sneak in? I don't see any people there...Even on the rides that are running... Maybe I should read Terpy's quarterly reports a little closer. 6F doesn't look to be doing too great?

The Interpreter
Not unlike Cedar Fair, Six Flags no longer releases individual park results. Suffice it to say that Kentucky Kingdom is very profitable, though. Without the water park, Twisted Twins or Mile High Falls, a lot of Louisvillians have found other things to entertain them. The Superman: Tower of Power incident has also adversely affected attendance as well.
Guest rcfreak339
Well yeah the park was open, duh but with it being almost 55 degrees outside and a chance of rain I guess people stayed away from the park that day and I don't blame them. Yes, without Twisted Twins, Mile High Falls and SM:TOP the attendence has been effected but I really think I caught it on a really good day! I love my SFKK! The Interpreter
I'm jealous of your Thunder Run line! I love that thing, but with one train and typical crowds at that coaster in that park...a deserted day is a very good thing!
indianapolisman
I rode it about 7 times... We once rode it 4 times without stepping off. I had to sit down for about a half an hour.

The Interpreter
It was, quite frankly, far more thrilling when it was at Six Flags Over Georgia as Viper or at Six Flags Great America as Tidal Wave. At Kentucky Kingdom, the ride's launch seems very much tamed compared to back then.
Jasper
Yeah it seems like whenever i have watched videos of it the launch isnt very fast it looks kind of like Italian Job minus some.
Guest rcfreak339
Yes, It is very much tame at KK but way more faster the BSC
The Interpreter
When that thing was Viper at SFOG and as Tidal Wave at SFGAm, twas one of my favorite coasters anywhere, it was!
