Valleyscare: Woman Says Survived Horrifying Attack

Darkness, fog, no limits, people scared.

I really think parks need to start thinking about greatly increased security inside parks during so-called fear events. When park guests become the monsters who attack people inside the parks, it won't take long to kill the profitable goose that lays golden eggs during Halloween.

In general, I have been shocked at how much darker almost all parks have become over the years, and that isn't even during Halloween. In days of olde, parks at night were lit up like brilliant Christmas trees. Nowadays, not so much.

I totally agree. Personally, I think the fog at the park is much thicker this year than in years past. If it were me, there would be security everywhere you look after dark. I am glad they left the lights in front of the gate alone this year-it's a nice effect to put the red bulbs in, but any dimming creates a safety issue especially with all the trees.

If you really want to be horrified, go back and read the readers' posted comments to that story. One says no one except a black belt should be alone at a fear event in a park, and guests should carry Mace or a Taser! I can't do it justice, so I will quote it exactly:

Security really has nothing to do with this issue. They are usually pretty good at securing what needs to be secured. In the story itself, the girl was "separated" from her friends. This is where I knew immediately that something would go wrong. Unless you have a black belt in karate, do NOT separate for even a second. Have one other person go with you. It's dark, you don't know the area, and there are creepers out there that intend to harm. Carry mase, carry a taser, whatever you have to in order to protect yourself. This is self-defense, 101. She did a very good job in not only coming forward, but fighting back as best she could. How scary to not be heard over the screams of "fake" horror!...

And this person could be in that park. Wow.

Just wow.

The weather plays a big part in the fog the chillier and damper it is (like this past weekend) the more its going to just "hang" and not lift more than 10 ft off the ground. blame science :P thats why its also the same time of year as a lot of school delays.
