Someone let a scarer get happy with the chainsaw

Anyone who went yesterday would notice that it looks like someone had too much fun with a chainsaw over by The Beast. All the trees behind the sign, and The Beast's sign itself, are GONE.

What gives? I could understand some of them needed to be cleared for Diamondback's track, but not all of them. This may need to go into the rumors section, but is anyone else suspecting retheming?

Rethemeing would be pure ignorance on KI's part, considering thier $25 million investment into the section. The clearing of trees may also be part of the new entrance for The Beast or other construction in 2009. The loss of a few trees is fine with me as long it is for further improvements!

First off D-Back is a $22,000,000 investment, and because of a helix over that area that places is getting a bit of a makeover.

I wasn't exactly sure about the expense of the ride. But I am 99% sure that Rivertown will not be getting a retheme in 2009. That would not be wise at all!

The entire entrance area for The Beast is being redesigned for the '09 season because, like BEAST said, DB's helix will be over the area.

I know why the entrance is coming out! The only thing I've been talking about here is the possibility of a retheme, which is very little.

The place where the trees are down is almost exactly where the final helix for Diamondback will be before it hits the splashdown.

Aha! I couldn't figure that out because the track was coming from over on the other side of the Crypt. I forgot the helix. That and I have horrible visual-spacial skills and can't figure out what part of the ride is going where until it's built.
