CantStopCabron
I have no doubt that PKI is haunted, and many of you are not lying about your encounters. Only one thing I noticed though is that you all get scared off so quickly. Once the event happens, you never return to it to see if it happens again. I have had my own encounters with a ghost (not at PKI), and afterwards I did as much as possible to figure out who it was and what was going on. Don't you guys feel the need to investigate? skatefanjeff
These stories are great, I thought the cables back by The Beast were suspension cables.

Losing Streak
Believing that PKI was haunted would involve believing in ghosts. Ghosts are false. Until someone proves otherwise (which they can't), I think everything you see and or feel is a figment of your imagination, something that you force yourself to believe is there when it is actually not. That's why nobody's actually been killed by any of these spirits, or creepy monsters and the like. Because they don't exist.
skatefanjeff
I have to agree with you Losing Streak. I have yet to see a ghost and until I do, I think they are just peoples mind playing tricks on them.
Beastfreak
Who says ghosts have to kill people. From pretty much all the stories I've heard, and experienced.. the ghosts were of younger people that died. Maybe it just wasn't their time to go and they are hanging around having fun. Heck, what better place to play then at an amusement park. By the way, seen the cables by The Beast myself, during the day. Wasn't looking for them, just happend to be going by and saw them. Didn't dawn on me what they were at first but I was turning around to go back to look when my truck died on me. It wouldn't start back up. I was freaked. After a few more tries it fired back up and ran fine, like nothing happened. I've been in IR many a time at night by myself with no lights on. (Mainly cause people are still in the park and not allowed to turn them on, because then everyone can see you.) I've heard noises and things coming from the kitchen or from the bar, but usually when I go to look, no one is there. Could just be from downstairs or a piece of equipment but its sounds different, like a man made noise. I like being up there though, watching everyone with out them knowing you are there. I've never been bothered by any ghosts besides the noises, so why stay away. Edited January 1, 1970 by beastfreak
Losing Streak
I wanna go in the IR... I've thought about that before. It would be cool as anything. As for the truck thing, there's a million possible explainations, of course the one your mind settles on is the creepiest one, as that is human nature. At least I see it that way. DragonLord
IR is just a bad place to be... We were checking it one rainy night and we came across an opened closet door, so we closed it. On our way back, there was water coming out from under the door, so we opened it up thinking that there was a leak from the rain. No leak! The roof access door had been opened and rain was just pouring in! Needless to say, I hate IR. We knew for a fact that there was no one else in the park and no one else that would have keys to IR if they were. How would someone get into the closet and open that roof access? Why would someone be on top of IR to begin with, and in the rain no less?
Beastfreak
HAHA.... that was probably me that left that roof door open. Its really tricky to close. However, there are a number of reasons someone could have been on the roof. Sound guys, HVAC guys, electricians for the lights, QTV guys for fireworks. Plus that closet is usually always unlocked, the cleaning people need in it at night.
EnterTheVortex
Where is this IR, i'm trying to find it on my park map and can't find it, is their a different name for it?
skatefanjeff
Where about on The Beast are the cables located? Are they back by the second lift, or first lift, where are they BeastFreak?
DragonLord
Um... I know there are many reasons for someone to be on the roof, but this was during the off season and I knew for a fact that there was no one on the roof, besides, this was around 1am, we had no full timers in the park at that time. As of the cables, you won't be able to see them from the ride anyway, and don't even think about trying to walk back and look for them, you will be in a huge load of trouble! Beastfreak
I realized it was late at night, and no one would be in the park, but they could have left it open during the day and it blew open during the storm since it was never locked down. Dragonlord is right. You can't see the cables from the ride. I can't tell you where they are because of many reasons, but you just need to know they do exist still. DragonLord
Good point about it blowing open... I guess that's a possibility. It's still really freaky though!
skatefanjeff
I never thought about going back there. I hate getting in trouble by the police, ( happens all the time skating), plus I'm afraid I may find a bloody hat back there. I was planning on trying to find them while riding. I always think about what stuff PKI still has in all those warehouses and stuff. Edited January 1, 1970 by skatefanjeff

StXBomber
Another creepy thing happened while I was working today, this time at FoF. I was bored and was waiting for the next train to pull into the station (I was working unload). I noticed that I could see two blue lights right next to each other through the door into the employee only area. I only saw the reflection though (there is a mirror that lets the person see back there while still running the ride). It looked kinda weird, like two eyes. I turned around and looked through the door, positioned myself between the door and the mirror, but I couldn't see it! I looked back in the mirror and saw it again! I could only see these mysterious lights in the mirror! Well, I am still waiting for the next train (must've been trying to get a large guest in or something to that effect), and I'm bored so I start singing some random tune I think up to the effect of "hello ghosts, hello ghosts" (The lights/eyes were creeping me out). As soon as I start singing that, the lights in unload go off for a second or two, then come back on. I then hear a laugh coming from the employee area door (where the lights were coming from). Some people may say that the lights are just the blue lights from under the track reflecting off of something, possibly the train, but it can't be, because they could only be seen in the mirror! Losing Streak
Maybe you just didn't get the angle right and so you couldn't see where the lights were coming from.

BoddaH1994
It would be cool if anyone on here had any information on the family that owned the farm(s) that became the park. Perhaps they could be contacted to shed some light on things. I mean, granted most of these ghosts are apparently people who got killed in the park, but what about the girl who plays around in Water Works? -Ryan Edited January 1, 1970 by BoddaH1994
RiSK
After going to that website that sobrider shared with us, i now disbelieve in ghost stories at PKI. Sounds like someone with an available e-mail address signed up for GeoCities with some time on their hands. What a load of crap lol. Yea, its still fun. I like how most ghost stories carry the grammar and reliastic quality of a 4 year old, however.
StXBomber
Maybe you just didn't get the angle right and so you couldn't see where the lights were coming from. No, I was standing right between the mirror and the door, i made sure I had the right angle. Even if I didn't have the right angle, the lights going out just as I started singing that song was pretty creepy.
flatbed
As I read through every post on this topic, everytime I read about the girl in the polka-dot dress and the boy in the striped shirt, chills ran down my spine. Before I continue, I do believe in ghosts. They are remnants of the past that now exist in another dimension. Why they aren't always seen, I don't know. Maybe some peoples minds are more open to this dimension, or maybe sometimes they (ghosts) are able to slip through to our world. Anyway several years ago I made a trip to KI with a group of friends and my brother, who was blind, and also had a sort-of sixth sense. Many times he could describe his surroundings in great detail, even though he had never been there before, and his eyes were made of glass. Many times throughout the day, he would ask if there was a little girl wearing a yellow and white polka-dot dress around us. He said that he sensed that she was lost and very frightened. Here's the really freaky part. We were going up the second lift hill on The Beast, and I remember in vivid detail everything my brother said as we were going up. He said he kept seeing this boy who was smiling and laughing and having a good time, then all of a sudden he would start puking up blood in huge quantities. We laughed it off, since we had smoked alot of weed before we came to the park, but now after hearing about Tower Tommy, and the cables stored by The Beast, I am totally freaked. And I haven't smoked weed in years.

RIPcobra
In some way i don't believe in ghosts in other ways i kinda do. I believe that they are stuck in a deminsion and when the deminsion collide they appear. its kinda like folding a piece of paper in half. Our deminsion on one side the other on the other side and when they collide they can appear.
DragonLord
It sounds like it's time for Charles to write another book! Of course, we can all chip in and the proceeds from the book can go to the site.
StXBomber
That would be a great idea! "Ghosts of Paramount's Kings Island". I have a book called "Famous Ghosts of Chicago" that I bought while I was in Chicago, and I wonder if PKI could get a ghost book of it's own!
