74Gibson
Makes you want to cry. At least some good came from it in that we have stricter regulations and hopefully improved safety throughout the industry. My thoughts are with the family and I wish them the best. The Interpreter
Part of the investigation revealed that: ... The state determined that Disneyland employees did not properly load Brandon into the ride -- with the smallest child farthest from the cutout entryway -- and failed to fully lower the lap bar. It also ordered significant safety changes to the ride, including a sensor-equipped guard around the bottom of each car.... It behooves all of us to remember that people's lives and safety are at stake, and ride operators and equipment are a very important part of safety. Yes, MOST injuries and accidents are caused by rider error, but by no means all. The investigation into the Kentucky Kingdom incident also revealed that ride operators and the park could have acted more responsibly than they did.
