chippewa&idora4ever
I was wondering if any one else was having the same problem I'm having; when you go to the Diamondback webcam if only works 25% of the time. Any one? Answers?
Braves0511
I always have trouble with it, but I chalk it up to the fact that I'm usually sharing an internet connection with 2490432 people in the Indiana State library when I try to get on it. Guest rcfreak339
It's just to many people are looking at it, just keep on refreshing the page and it should work just fine!
cobalt135
The webcam issue is happening because the server that is serving the images cannot handle the amount of users wanting to view it. They need to do an upgrade IMO...
Guest rcfreak339
Almost to late to do that! Since Opening day is about a month away!
cobalt135
Almost to late to do that! Since Opening day is about a month away! From talk here, it seems as if they plan to keep the cam up and running showing various locations in the park. If this indeed the case I would expect the cam to get just as much traffic and maybe more. Once opening day hits and the park starts operating people are still going to want to see the other sights as well. Oh, and constant refreshing of a website is not a good thing, especially if lots of people are doing it. That just increases the load on the server even more. It gets so busy trying to handle all the requests that it has a hard time actually sending out the pages. Ever heard of DOS attacks or slashdotting? Yes clicking the refresh button just makes things worse. Plus there is javascript that executes every 5 seconds anyway to refresh the image so there really is no point to manually refreshing. I have the same issues as everyone else, but I just leave the browser alone and within a couple minutes I normally get lucky and see an image. Avatar
It's best that I do not watch the Web Cam in it's current objective. The only time I would really have/make time to watch it would be when they where installing or testing certain aspects of the ride, but that seems to be when the camera is being tested for other positions or other miscellaneous consequential technical problems. This would be way to frustrating for me to watch on a regular basis and then be bummed for not being able to see the things that I would have liked to seen the most. I understand why miscellaneous consequential technical problems need to take place. I am really thankful to those who have the patience to stick it out and then share what they feel was important, otherwise I would have missed it all.
