  1. From talk here, it seems as if they plan to keep the cam up and running showing various locations in the park. If this indeed the case I would expect the cam to get just as much traffic and maybe more. Once opening day hits and the park starts operating people are still going to want to see the other sights as well. Oh, and constant refreshing of a website is not a good thing, especially if lots of people are doing it. That just increases the load on the server even more. It gets so busy trying to handle all the requests that it has a hard time actually sending out the pages. Ever heard of DOS attacks or slashdotting?
  2. The webcam issue is happening because the server that is serving the images cannot handle the amount of users wanting to view it. They need to do an upgrade IMO...
  3. Man, we have to see some video of this!!
  4. There is a dye based product out there called Aquashade. It filters certain wavelengths of light to help control aquatic plant growth and produces a dark blue color. It would be ideal for a application like the DB pool. It would not be a good control of algae if that becomes an issue though because the Aquashade is not really effective unless the water is about 3' deep or more.
  5. Nah, I doubt it is your computer as it is happening to quite a few of people. I cannot access it via my Windows XP computer, MacBook Pro, or my iPhone right now.
  6. I think the splash effect will be around half of what you see with Sheikra if the Diamondback trains current scoops are not changed from what they have on the trains at this moment. Besides the size of the scoops the amount of water in the pool will also make a difference. I am looking forward to seeing Diamondbacks splash though!
  7. Nothing to do with KI, here is the article...... http://www.western-star.com/hp/content/oh/...ment.html?imw=Y
  8. Actually the cam is just fine, it just doesn't appear on the computer if to many people are watching Yes, I am aware it is not the physical camera itself, but the way the camera software and/or server side of things are working.
  9. This webcam gets to be ridiculous sometimes,.....like anytime a train leaves the storage area. With all the complaints it seems like KI should really take a look at their setup since it does not seem to be adequate.
  10. Okay, this post has managed to drag me out of lurking. I have seen those....and used on of these back in the early 90's in schoolhttp://www.itechnews.net/tag/apple-iic/ To keep on topic, I would love to see pics of the KI Eiffel Tower under construction. Is there any pics of inside the tower above the top observation platform around? I know it is mostly the elevator mechanicals in there but it would be interesting IMO.
