April 11, 200917 yr Over the summer me and my cousin Mitchell who is also a Coaster Geek (Gnarkiller on KIC) ride bikes all around town. We mainly stay in Beech Grove cause it's the suburb he lives in. There is an Amtrak Station on the East Side of Beech Grove. We hangout around it alot, and it doesn't get much service, It's also not a public station. It's for maintenance I believe. Being the coaster geek I am, I always see things, and compare them to coaster heights, or what kind of coaster could go here... So I was thinking, what if an Amusement Park was built here? It's located right off the highway, in an okay part of town, and just minutes from Downtown, and about 30 Minutes from Indianapolis International Airport. Indianapolis has lacked an amusement park, to ride big coasters, you have to travel to KI- 90 Minutes, SFKK- 90 Minutes, Indiana Beach- 70 Minutes, or Holiday World- 140 Minutes. So this would be great for Indy, and attract alot more people, and help stimulate the economy. The Red Highlighted area is Amtrak, where the amusement park would start off. The purple is an Apartment Complex, it could be moved for alot of money, and that could become most of the parking lot. That White road is a real road, but would be widened and where it meets 74- A new exit would be built even though there is one on Emerson. The yellow is a cement truck company I think, and some woods. It could be relocated for a certain amount of money. And the park could extend north. The blue is a field, it's pretty much empty except for a cell phone tower. I doubt it would be bought, but if the park had to expand, it could expand there. The black dot is Mitchell's house, it's walking distance.
April 11, 200917 yr Boy thats a lot of deconstruction and money. Good luck. Good example: Hard Rock Park.... errr I mean Free Style Music Park?? (yes/no??)
April 11, 200917 yr We were supposed to get that park out on the west side, but it fell through a long time ago. I'm still disappointed about that one, although I don't think it was gonna be much.

I remember seeing concept for the main street and a Carousal on the news a few years ago. I wish it would of been built, but they canceled it.
April 11, 200917 yr Hmmm... I wish you wouldn't announce to the world that there is a plausible idea behind this thread, as some of us already have plans stored away in our heads for such things. Your location isn't exactly what I had in mind, but I've said too much already and plan to let my secret thoughts remain just that.
