It is now time for the TR no one has looked forward to, Phantomtheater’s lack of visual aids opening day TR.

After rearranging my sleep schedule, my alarm went off at 5:30 am. After a smooth drive, I arrived at the park just before 7 am. I played my cards right at security and got through quickly to be the first one at the gold pass barrier. There I met pkiboy and we chatted throughout the hour, and he identified every employ that walked by. Then came the madness at nine, after the dash I ended up on one of the first public trains being paired up with pkiboy in row 12. After Diamond Back it was off to His Majesty The Beast, in which I rode in the last row. I must say the new wood in the helix is most excellent. From there I lined up to ride Firehawk at 10 am. With some fresh paint on the station track, it was squeaking like heck, making every one deaf. Though with the new paint, there is still some X-Flight green showing. With FOF down I went to Racer Red, in which they were racing. I have to say that The Racer crew was a little slow. From there I went to my car to drop off my jacket. When I came back, I saw Invertigo was doing test runs, so I went over and waited about ten minutes for it to reopen. During that time I watched as about every 30 seconds someone would ask how long till it will reopen, I felt sorry for the gate attendant. From there I went to AE, then to Eiffel Tower, and over to KIMVRR. Saw the crypt was down and headed over to FOF, which was down but I decided to wait for a moment. Within 15 minutes, I was on it in the back of the train; I noticed none of the sound effect nor was the music on. I then went to my car for lunch, I took my cooler and went to a near by traffic island that had a little tree. It was a nice spot for a picnic lunch and a mid day break. After lunch I went to Flight Deck which had about a 20 minute wait, and desperately needing a paint job. I rode KIMVRR again and ran into a member of the KIC community working it, I cant remember her name though. From there I headed over to Vortex and saw it was down, but the transfer track moving, so I gambled it was just a train removal or switch. I was right, and five minutes later it reopened. On the platform I ran into Gigacoaster (Angie) and Violakat. After a smooth, fast, and quiet ride on Vortex, I joined up with Angie and Kat for a group photo, then a ride on The Beast. During the hour wait, Angie was texting non-stop trying to organize a ride on Diamondback. After an excellent ride in 1-3 with Angie (boy is that new wood great), we met up with pkiruler and iChase. After finding Keiko_Coaster, we headed over to DB and convinced Chase to come on. This group was all possible because of Angie’s texting (I apologize for making fun of it). In line we spotted Avatar and Ogrmac among others a que in front of us. When we got to the station we were assigned the middle of the train, and because of the effort made by one Cory Butcher, everyone was able to ride. After the ride, our group and Avatar’s group merged for a big group photo. At that point I had to leave :( to get to an event at my school. I stopped at Skyline by the Beach for dinner then headed out.

It was a fun day and enjoyed hanging out with everyone, I will most likely return to the park may 1st.

Not only texting, but yelling at and flagging down people I recognized from KIC! My phone died before the night was over!
