Creed Bratton
So Kings Island today was a blast!! I got to the park a little after 10, it seemed like all I could see was thousands of annoyinge teenagers with their schools for Music In The Parks day....wow...I wanted to slap a few of them not even being in the park for very long. We obviously got stopped by the people in front of the fountains to get our picture taken! Woohoo! As we completed that whole process we headed toward Vortex!! We got a little side-tracked and had a walk on to Adventure Express...it was a bit boring. It was a complete walk-on...sat in the very front and man was it smooth! The fresh paint looks really good! We got off and went to FoF and that was pretty much a walk-on..a wait of maybe 5 minutes. However I was creeped out by this kid staring at me as I was in the train waiting to be shot off. The ride was so much fun, I forgot about how crazy it was inside the "fishbowl". We headed toward Firehawk right afterwards...a wait of about 15 minutes. We got sent to the yellow train and were about in the middle of the train. Very smooth ride...I forgot about the barrel rolls at the end of the ride they rocked! We then grabbed a quick bite to eat, went to The Beast!!! I was really excited to see how much nicer it rode. The helix's were great...I didn't want to kill any girls in the tunnles for screaming. The ride is generally about a 4 minute 50 second ride...it seemed like it lasted longer than that and I loved it. We then headed to Diamondback!!!!!! We waited a max time of about 20 minutes...once we got seated we had a blast! We sat in the middle of the train, I sat on the far right side. The first hill was amazing! I loved not really sitting on the seat throughout the ride because of the airtime! The other hills were great! I couldn't get over how low DB goes and how close it is to the train tracks. The splash down part was cool, however I didn't really know we hit any water (obviously I knew about it but on the ride I didn't) until I felt a little mist. I was really really impressed with DB. On ride photos were great! The DB trading post was awesome as well. We then wanted to grab a little snack...so we thought about stopping in the restaurant formerly known as Wings...I can't remember what it's new name is...oops. Unfortunately we didn't eat there because we're poor college students and can't afford $17 per person for a meal. So we grabbed some fries and headed toward SoB. SoB was down so we went on Flight Deck. It was packed since SoB was down. In the lines I was a bit disappointed because of the whole area under the platform was sitting idle. The ride was great! I love swinging around the curves! At this point we decided to go on The Racers and they were fun, we rode the blue train and won! Wish it would have went backwards though. Then we went back to DB. This time the three of us decided to do the single rider line....again another walk-on...and it was a blast. We then headed to our Picnic Lunch and it was good...I was disappointed when we didn't have Chicken Tenders but loved the selection anyway. Then we headed around the park to just walk for a bit. Went to SoB...wow was it rough! The lift hill always makes me laugh because it's sooo loud! We then headed toward DB again, unfortunately at this point it wasn't running because the whole train getting stuck in the back. So we decided to wait for about an hour or so. It got very frustrating because of the Ride Ops and other Staff kept telling us it'd be worth our time to go ride other rides...we sat there for a while and then went to the stores. Then we saw the trains of DB being tested...so we headed over that way and rode in the single rider line again and it was amazing in the dark! I love the feel of DB at night! Then we headed home. It was a great day at KI!!!
