Beast79
I'm going to Dollywood next week with my wife and two daughters. Last time I was there was back in 1997 so it's been awhile.
Beast1979
First off, get there bright and early to get your QBot. A QBot is part of the Q2Q system Dollywood offers, and it is awesome. Scroll through your little QBot guy, and if you see a ride you'd like to ride, click reserve and it will give you a time in which you have to get there by. Once you get there, there will be a second, and much shorter, line waiting for you. It's easy, it's efficient, and you'll love it. But get there early, because, if you don't, they'll run out. Second, don't be a ride whore. There is so much more to do at Dollywood rather then rides. While yes, they do have Tennessee Tornado, Thunderhead, Mystery Mine, Blazing Fury, and a few others, Dollywood is not a rides park. There are, sit down restaurants, Bald Eagle pens, fantastic shows, a wonderful train ride, authentic scenery items such as live glassblowing, and much more. Third, don't forget to enjoy the beauty of the smokies. That's a wonderful place down there, don't focus just on Dollywood. And finally, do NOT miss Blazing Fury. Many have said that is one of the best dark rides in country, and I agree. I rode it more times that one day then I've ridden Diamondback so far this year. Have fun! DeLorean Rider
FIRE IN THE HOLE! Agreed. Blazing Fury is incredible. Also Dolly Parton goes to Dollywood about 3 times a year for promotion things, maybe you'll get lucky .

I haven't been there since the 90's myself. All they had was Blazing Fury, the railroad coaster with the drop and tunnel at the end which was neat (I believe it is gone) and the cool Sidewinder water slide. Does the Qbot cost extra or is it just first come first served?

PhantomTheater
If you get there after 3pm, you get the next day free! That way you get more time for the same amount of money.

Beast79
Thanks, I'm going to try out the Qbot system Mystery Mine, Tennessee Tornado and Thunder Head are the only three that I will be riding by myself since my daughters are not tall enough and my wife can't do looping coasters. I remember how beautiful the park is and the kids have alot to do there. We are leaving between 5-6am so we can enjoy most of one day, then Dollywood all day and our last day we are going to check out Gatlinburg. TOPGUN1993
Don't miss Daredevil Falls, it IMO is the best water flume out there (well maybe behind Splash Mountain) and you don't get soaked just a fine mist.
