Breaking out the shelters

Featured Replies

I went to Ki yesterday to meet up with my cousion. In about 2 hours it went from clear skys to dark and torandos threating. But when the sirens went off. Im proud of the workers that we working on Firehawk. When the sirens went off we just got off when they went off and the workers sent us straight into Flight of Fear. It was cool to be in FoF with the lights on but it was scary that there could be a tornado out side destroying Kings Island.

p.s If you dont know who this is I was TheKingsIslandBros

Did you go like all the way inside of FoF were you could see the track and everything?

no, i was in there too, they close the doors from the outside and you wait in the hallway or the hangar.

Interesting topic... But our sirens went off here too, and I turned on Channel 9, they showed the potential tornadoes near KI to be a little East of Maineville and moving away from KI, so you were never in any real danger. Nice to see that the park has prepared for a real danger though!!!!!!!

But, tornadoes can change course and new ones can form at any time if conditions are right. Predicting weather is a lot more difficult than just looking at a Nexrad map, seeing where stuff is and which way it is moving...After all, every storm and tornado has to form somewhere...
