House
Has anyone ever been to schlitterbahn? I'm leaving for South Padre a week from Wednesday and will be visiting the park. How does this one compare to other schlitterbahn's? Are there certain water slides I should hit up first? Is it worth getting a 2 day pass? How would you compare this to Boomerang Bay or the Water Park at Cedar Point?
Avatar
I'm so jealous! I have never been but have always thought it would be great if I got the chance to go so I'll be looking forward to your report and hopefully you have a water proof camera. From the media I have read about it sounds like Schlitterbahn offers far more then the KI or CP water parks and they have awards to back them up on that. Have a great time please share when you come back I'll be interested in what you have to say about it.
DropZone99
I've been to Schlitterbahn in Galveston Texas. It consists of 3 Sections, Surfenburg: The biggest outdoor section that was closed for the season when I went, Blastenhoff: The new for 2007 Section that was closed when I went, and Wasserfest: The indoor section that was supposedly voted the #1 Indoor Waterpark... I was really disapointed with Wasserfest, It only had 1 Good slide, the atmosphere wasn't good at all, no theme, Nothing to eat, It's set up really Weird. But their Lazy River "Torrent River" which isn't lazy at all, was awesome! Imaging Typhoon Lagoon's Wave Pool if it was also a Lazy River, that's what that is! The Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels looks amazing though! They have some of the best slides around and they are also themed really good, and have special effects! Congo River (New for 2009) Looks amazing!

House
Is there a fan site for Schlitterbahn? I've been searching and can not find a message forum for the park.
