indianapolisman
Coaster Mania is great.(as many other events are) If you were one of the ones who were unable to attend this year. Start planning for next year. Do as I do and declare it a "personal" national holiday. Mark it on all of your calendars at work and home. As someone said to me "We are the bread and butter of the amusement industry" well CP knows how to butter it up. Except for rolling out the red carpet they strive to bring you the best experience for little price or better yet Free! It was nice going as a group and meeting up with others or the occasional run in with DVO or Captin Picard and his wife. Also met MeanStreakLady (thank you for holding my camera) and her husband. And thanks goes out to the food staff for the graet appetizer spread and cash bar. Also the maintnence staff for getting MF running and keeping almost everything else running the whole event. Day 1 6/5/2009 I'll spare most of the details Jesse did a fine job with those. The parts that stuck out in my mind (other than the bugs flying in my ears) was the Social hour and presentation. The apps were nice and plentiful. The drinks were stiff and cheap. Sitting there with Jesse I thought of a song by Billy Joel something about a guy making love to his drink<--- I don't even know were this is going anymore I had a couple Bacardi and Cokes. So it was perfect timing they had the sit down presentation after this. Ron Toomer was a short worded man but the meaning was there. He said he never turned down an idea for a coaster<Never. I didn't ask but wondered if he was asked to build a 5040" high coaster if he would of ERT that night was packed, except for Sky Hawk. I had never ridden this or many other flat rides in fear of getting ill. With my peers around me I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did. The most fun had in a while no reprocusions. Maverick ERT did not work in our favor but the one ride we got that night was rough for Jesse and Zach. I should have warned them how to hang on properly before the ride. It's one heck of a coaster once you've gotten used to it. We had McD's on the way to the hotel. Not very good at all. We waited five min. for our fries and they were old and rank. Econolodge worked out well for me three times now. Jesse said he heard the trains, and I realized that I live with tracks nearby which explains why I never heard these before. Day 2 6/6/2009 Came too early....way too early. Jesse couldn't get that alarm turned off and I thought one of us were gonna throw it through the wall. Jesse was thoughtful enough to bring an air mattress for Zach and I turned over and gave it a kick. He wasn't to enthusiastic about getting up either. Mornong ERT went much smoother than the night before. We hit MF twice went to TTD hit it twice then back to Millie. We met up with a larger group and rode PT and Raptor. We split back up into our group and rode WT as the park opened. Zach and Jesse rode front seat and were able to notice an obscene gesture drawn in the sand. Saturday was less crowded and died out around 5:30. We got a bunch of rides in 15/17 aint bad. We already had a bad wrap going into this thing no use in trying to borrow peoples kids to hit Gemini Jr. Multiple rides on most. We rode TTD 10 times. And still had plenty of time to take breaks and relax a little. Her's some pics I'm sure some will like. I'm gonna try the video but if they don't work I'll send them to someone who can post them. I'm looking forward to some more events this year. I'll probably get caught in a storm not to long from now. Hopefully it's not a bad one Edit: couldn't figure the videos out I'll ask Jesse to put them up later.

indianapolisman
Thanks to some help from Jesse (who I had to get ahold of through text he wont reply to AIM ) I was able to figure the video out. (hopefully) This is Avatar, PKIboy, and Violakat on TTD if you can slow it down somehow, it's quite funny. The last is Giga. Notice the arms technique. That takes some experience. Enjoy. Avatar
Great report Sean and I loved the pictures and the wide angle you used, also I am so glad you got some of the KICentral group on ride as mine got blurred. Thanks for the video shot I REALLY liked that and I need a copy of it. You know one of the best thing about getting together especially with fellow KICentral members is getting to know everyone better and making shared memories. I learned that Zach has traveled a lot and has some great stories to tell and Sean I found out that you and I have something else in common, we both are secret ICarly and Jake & Josh fans. That may have something to do with the kids in our lives. Sitting there with Jesse I thought of a song by Billy Joel something about a guy making love to his drink<---What??? you must elaborate on this further. Was it because I was trying to stabbing my lime in my drink, if that was it then that served as duel purposes fist to get the lime juice out of the lime and the second was for practice for later that night. Hey if you ever need a coaster buddy just let me know and I will be there. Thanks for everything. Note; if you want to AIM me then I need to be home otherwise text me so I can turn on AIM on the phone.
