Limited Operation Days

Featured Replies

For the past 3 years..My yearbook staff has gone to PKI at the end of May.Everytime we go they are under a "Limited Operation Day".But..Every major ride seemed to be open at least once in the day.And what is that one day in June for when the park is closed?

During the season, companies can buy out the park just for their employees can just the day. It's kind of an appreciation for working for the company. As for the stuff dealing with the rides, I wouldn't be able to answer that. Sorry unsure.gif

They say "Limited Operation Days" as a warning that some things MIGHT not be open...A lot of employees are still in school during this time, so they don't know for sure what they will be able to open. There was one year I was working at Animation Station (the store) and got pulled to work Eagles & Flight Commander...that's how short they were...I've also been pulled to work the Train....that was kinda cool...Long story short, it's just letting the public know that certain things MIGHT not be open...basically CYA....

Yea what they ought to say is...

These selected days, not all ride that are operational will be running due to a lack of employees avalible. Sorry for the incomvenionce. smile.gif

The park does say sorry for the lack of rides on the sheet of paper that is handed out at the front gate. The park doesn't need to explain why some of the rides are closed. If it's during a school day, it should be obvious.

The one day in June that they are closed is because a company buys out the park. Actually its two companies that go in together.

It is usually the first sunday in June. This only started a few years ago.

Yep, this year it's the first Saturday in June again.

My grandpa's company is so cheap that they don't even go in on one of the buyout days, they go on a regular operating day and rent the picnic grove.

I belive they meant the First Sunday in June. They are is another reason why the park choose this day for a park sell out. If you want to know the real reason e-mail me and I'll tell you if you don't know. The park will be closed on Sunday June 1st 2003 for a park sell out.

The first Sunday in June is GM day at the park and my family goes every year. But we don't go to the actual "company picnic" because the food is terrible. We normally buy our own or bring our own. This day is somewhat terrible too, because it seems to always be hot that day and all the lines are long. But I still have FUN!!
