TheCryptRaider
I was expecting quite a bit of crowds because of it being the weekend and all, but really there wasn't too many people there. My friend (who is not too fond of roller coasters) and I arrived at Kings Island at about 2:30, and rain was pelting the windshield. We waited for a while in the Gold Pass lot, and finally the rain let up a bit. We walked to the gate, and the whole time we were walking I was just waiting and waiting for Diamondback's all-clear horn to sound. We decided to walk around a bit, and ended up in the arcade near The Beast when it started to pour again. We waited for about a half hour, and played a few games. My friend (whose name is Josh too) decided he wanted to ride BLSC. I agreed, as that ride is fun. The ride ops decided they would start their ride up when Diamondback stopped running cycles and let people on, which was about a 10 minute wait. We were at the very front of a line that we formed. We rode front seat which was pretty fun, as I had never done front seat before on BLSC. Seeing the line was short, we decided on going again. Don't make fun of me, its a fun little ride. After that, I wanted to get my friend on The Racer for the first time. He was really freaked out as we pulled up the lift hill, but as soon as we hit the drop, he totally loved it. It was a new experience for me too, because it was running...... *drumroll* TRIMLESS! It was great! I absolutely loved the trip back to the station! We marathoned it 4 times, before he started to not feel good. Also, I think I may have seen HTCO, but I figured it wouldn't have been him because he said he had practice. Once we finished up The Racer, we walked over to Adventure Express, which was a walk-on. That ride just never gets old. We were the last train to go, before they announced there was thunder and lightning. (There wasn't..) So, since the rides closed down, we went and ate at Outer Hanks. It was pretty good, and I had never eaten before. So when rides started opening back up, we left and went up the Eiffel Tower. I showed my friend The Beast, and told him since he loved AE and The Racer, he would probably love The Beast considering it was a wooden coaster which went fast through the woods. He finally announced he was going to go on it in a hour. (He wanted his food to digest). We walked over to Diamondback, because I wanted to get at least one ride on it. Well, it was closed down because they were getting a train out of storage. The ride-op said it would take 45 minutes to re-open. I thought, are you kidding me? They're just taking a train out of storage. Well, I figured he'd be right. And since I saw that Drop Tower's line was short from the Eiffel Tower, I figured I'd go ride that. I had just passed Scooby-Doo when I heard the horn blow! So I sprinted to the SRL, and got on in under 10 minutes. I was assigned row 3, but my partner rider went to row 2 because people let him in front of them. I jumped in with him, and got my first front seat ride. I have to say, I don't like the front as much as the back! By this time, my friend was ready to ride The Beast. It was a one train wait. We climed up the lift, and he said he regretted wanting to ride it. And as soon as we hit the tunnel after the first drop, he looked at me and said, "I LOVE THIS!" It made me feel great because for the longest time, he hated roller coasters. He decided to go again, and I went with him. Again, he loved it. I had a good day at Kings Island, as always and I was so happy I got my friend to start riding roller coasters. Enjoy.
