If we would like to return to our hotel for a afternoon rest, are we able to re enter the park on the same day (without having to purchase another ticket(s)?

yep, just make sure you get your hand stamped, and be careful the stamps wash off very easily this year.

Sure...just get your handstamped for readmission (and save your ticket stub or have your season pass available in case the handstamp washes off). And your parking stub (or season pass with parking) will allow you to re-enter the parking lot.
