Captain Picard
I bet they are going to say attendance is a little off. Someone will ask how bad it is with response of we don't know yet because we get most of our attendance in the fall. By the Q4 call the smoke should clear and you will have a clear understanding of the Cedar Fair situation.
The Interpreter
I wonder if the what was then imminent refinancing deal mentioned just before the last major conference call, which was to be announced the week before the conference call, and then wasn't, will happen by Q4. Or if any parks will have been sold by then (as in California or Missouri).
Captain Picard
I was wondering if any parks have been sold too because I think that could buy them another year.
The Interpreter
The Geauga Lake property is all but officially off the market, as no suitable offers were received. Suitable to whom? Cedar Fair? The creditors? Both?
The Interpreter
...Tuesday Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN) reports on Tuesday. The regional amusement park operator runs a highly seasonal business. Most of its revenue -- and often more than all of its earnings -- are recorded during the summer. Its review of its second quarter performance and outlook for the telltale third quarter will make Tuesday as thrilling as some of the chain's signature coasters.... http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2009...look-ahead.aspx 10 a.m. Eastern, Tuesday
