YEAH!

The fun starts very eary for the riders, tolls opening at 6am and the riders meeting at Security post 3 so they can be escourted into the park, I belive around 6:30. They are filming BOTH rides, so I will be travleing between both of them. The shooting should end by 10am before the park is opened to the public. If you are going to go, you are not allowed anywhere in the park without an escourt and you have to be on International Street by 10am or earlier unless they are not done shooting.

I'm sure you will hear it all again tomorrow, so I will see you all there. Just ask me if I'm on the PKIU forums and I will be glad to introduce myself as DragonLord.

omg I feel like the most unlucky person ever.

This girl was talking to everyone and trying to see who really liked the ride. So they could naronate the ride. And when she talked to me I told her that it was one of my favorite movies because she can just kick butt. Well after everyone was finished it was inbetween me and this other girl. So someone told us to pick a number between 0-1000 and I said 500 and the other girl said like 800 something and the number was 600 so I should have won but then we did rock paper scissors and she won so she got to do it. I was so mad. And then someone told me that I should get out to see more movies because Tomb Raider sucks. But it was still really fun. They said it will air in Spring 2004.

I know that I saw Italianchef but that’s all I know of I was the one with a red tank top and jean shorts on. biggrin.gif

But over all it was fun.

I remember you. You were talking to my bold day wernt you?

I'm a little lost... I was "talking to my bold day"?

If you were at the TR:TR shoot, I would usually go around italianchef to say hi. He introduced me to someone on these forums but I honestly can't remember who it was...

Ahh, better. I tried to talk to everyone that day, so I probably did talk with your dad. I was suprised to find so many families involved in the filming. There were brothers there, one riding TR and the other on Delirium. It was pretty interesting.

Hi everyone...

I'm sort of new here, but I used to hang around Roller Coaster Tycoon sites. I was at the Tomb Raider shoot, by way of ACE e-mail. I actually got picked to narrate the ride. The filming took place until around 11:00, and then I went and rode The Beast, Son of Beast, ate lunch, and then went back to interview. After the interview, I got to sit in the Land Rover that's parked in front of the entrance. It was pretty cool, even for a Land Rover.

I saw italianchef there, shamelessly promoting his book smile.gif , as well as some fellow ACErs. It was really cool. And, I got into the park for free, which made it worthwhile, seeing as I live in Columbus.

Thanks, Stay Cool,

As author of The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island, the former producer and star of public access TV show, and in Mrs. Chef's words "a looky looky American"......I HAD to take the day off from work to participate in The Travel Channel's PKI show. Mrs. Chef couldn't take the day off from work and none of my friends would......so I went alone. Mrs. Chef dropped me off at 6:50 AM - and we saw DragonLord at the park on duty. He's a nice guy and I appreciate his manners towards my wife. I reckon he's a real gentleman with ladies in general.

There were 2 segments being filmed that day, 1 for Tomb Raider and 1 for Delirium. The vast majority of people were there for Delirium. While chatting with many people....I met BoddaH1994. He was scheduled to hang out with his lady friend after the filming and graciously invited me to hang out with them so I wouldn't be stuck by myself all day. BoddaH1994 is a very nice and intelligent young man.

Plus I met DanielRadsgrl. She seems like a nice and intelligent young lady. She was almost chosen to narrate TR:TR for The Travel Channel. And attractive (Brother Charles appreciates older ladies) lady old enough to be her mother beat her for it in rock, paper, scizzors.

The filming was not pleasant - it lasted at least 4 hours. We had to be filmed riding Tomb Raider: The Ride 2 times in a row. We were filmed putting on our safety restraints, entering the ride, and doing other things several times. After putting on our safety restraints for the filming - we didn't actually ride - just sat there locked up for 20 minutes. It was tough.

To make a long story short....it was well worth the experience because I'll be on national TV for the first time in my life. That is so totally cool. And I had had a great time riding some of PKI's best rides with BoddaH1994 and his lady friend - and they are both very nice young people. Plus I got to introduce them to Jeff Siebert and David Mandt.

It was a great time....but after spending over 4 hours in TR:TR, I need a long break from it.

italianchef --

After hearing "All the Hype" about your book (and public access cooking show), I stopped by the gift shop as I was leaving the park and picked up a copy of "The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island." I read it over in the car, its a pretty good book.

Thanks, Stay Cool,
