I just got back from another fun trip at CP with my friend Derek. I'm not going to go into any details as they would simply be a repetition of my old trip reports. I will just highlight a few things worth noting.

On Friday, we got a trimless ride on Magnum. ( Nicknamed by most of you Maggie. My new nickname is Peggy which is also a nickname for Margaret-hee,hee, hee.) I think they gave us a trimless ride since they were only running two trains. I have to say, that hurt. We were literally standing in our seats on the bunny hills and that hurt our legs-those lap bars are like solid concrete. Rode Peggy on Saturday without the trim and was much easier on the legs. However, they should get new lap bars which are smoother.

We also decided to give Maxair a whirl to compare it to Delirium. I must say I agree that Maxair is a bit more thrilling with a longer cycle plus the feel of the lake breeze.

We took a night ride on Mildred last night ( my own nickname for Millenium Force-another hee hee hee ) in the second row and got killed by bugs-that hurt almost as much as a ride in the rain.

Another matter of note happened during ERT on Maverick yesterday morning. A boy, about 8, was in the back seat of the train with his mom on the launch track, the second train to launch. The boy was screaming in fright. The ride crew ended up letting him and his parents off the ride. In my opinion, the right thing to do. I saw another similar incident on Mildred when a boy and his mother were in the second to last seat-the boy was crying as the train left the station. When will parents learn not to force their kids to ride rides when they are obviously terrified? Not only that, putting them in the back of the train-I find it is best to start coaster beginners at the front of the train.

Finally, we found out from a ride on Paddlewheel Excursions from our captain that both Paddlewheel Excursions and Shoot the Rapids will coexist with each other with the same theming. So glad Paddlewheel Excursions will be staying as it is a tradition at CP to be treasured.

All and all, a very pleasant weekend with perfect weather. Most of the rides were near walk-ons on Friday, except for about an hour wait for Maverick. Saturday wasn't as bad as most people would think a holiday weekend would be. We just did ERT on Maverick this morning ( Sunday ) before leaving and it was more crowded than Saturday.

Hope to maybe get a Holloweekend trip to CP before the season ends
