My son is just barely 48" tall now. So next year we will need to purchase a normal adult pass for him (hard to believe for a 6 yo).

My question is that we have current passes, and his is a JR Platinum pass. So next year we will need a Adult Platinum pass. Will he be considered a renewal pass or a new pass holder for this fall?

I would imagine it would be a renewal, but I would contact the park and ask them what you should do.

I think they will go by how tall he is at the time the pass is renewed so if he's less then 48 inches now even just barely you should be able to get him a junior platinum pass for 2010.

I renewed by CP Platinum pass Friday night - Myself and my two kids, both with adult passes as they are over 48". We renewed at CP and didn't have to jump through any hoops, my PPass is now good through the end of 2010.

Could you just renew them now and be good? I believe CPs policy on new passes was they'll measure Jr. at time of getting the pass and determine if you need to pay the difference. I'm assuming the same policy for both locations.

I would follow the above advise and ask - though I'd bring my son in the shoes that have the thinnest sole I can find.

I was actually thinking of telling him to slouch. He is about a 1/2 in taller than the 48 in bar when he stands up straight. I will see about some flip flops that are paper thin and the slouching.

I am not worried about the price difference, I just didn't know if they would consider him a "new passholder" because of the change in height (meaning paying a bit more) or if he would be considered "renewing" since he has had previous passes, but just as JR.

What actually stinks is that my daughter will turn 3 on 10/18/10, so basically for like 2 weekends we will have to purchase her tickets or a pass next year.

I have been told that a 2009 Jr moving to an 2010 Adult can obtain the renewal price.

When I went over Labor day weekend and renewed and got my 3 soon to be a 4 yr old a Jr pass. they just went ahead and gave her a adult gold pass.

I was only kidding on that....I make sure he stands up tall regardless of being measured for a ride or for prices...I had stated earlier I wasn't upset about having to pay the increased price to an adult.

Well not every kid is a thrill seeker, and might still want to ride the kid rides, my nephew is over 48 inches but you won't find him riding any adult rides, well maybe Adventure Express, but that would be it, so I don't know whether they'll renew or not.
