October 2, 200916 yr ..."There is absolutely nothing warm or fuzzy about Phantom Fright Nights," said Kennywood spokesman Jeff Filicko, referring to the amusement park's annual Halloween celebration, which begins Friday. This year's event promises to be so scary that the park recommends it for children no younger than 13, though Filicko said younger kids may attend provided their parents believe they are up to it. Phantom Fright Nights run every Friday and Saturday in October from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. The park also will be open Sunday, Oct. 11 from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $24.99 at the gate or may be purchased at a $3 discount at participating Giant Eagle supermarkets.
