...Preparations for Fright Fest started in January so that the park would be ready to reopen in October, said entertainment supervisor Kristen Gentes.

Thousands of props -- mummies, tombstones, spider webs and other mood setters -- transform the theme park into something haunted. The spooky decorations start going up the day after Labor Day, Gentes said.
