TheCryptRaider Posted October 4, 2009 Share Posted October 4, 2009 I'm not really going to go into grave detail on my trip except for the Haunts I went through. Anyways, here we go. We wasted about 38920098093 minutes waiting for my friend to buy a ticket. It was REALLY crowded, and it was hard to pick out the scareactors in the dense crowds, so a lot of them got me good at the gate.I passed by the Emporium, and there were virtually NO scareactors beyond that point. It was kind of disappointing at first, but later on they spread out more. Our first Haunt was Massacre Manor. The wait was about 20-25 minutes. I really liked this one, and it ended up being my favorite of the night. The only thing I didn't like was the multiple strobe-rooms. If I look at a strobe light too much it will make me sick, and I got a little sick from it. There were a few cool things about the strobe rooms though, like the fact that you couldn't see the monsters for a split second and then they get closer and closer to you.. It's pretty freaky. I give this maze a 8.5/10 We then met up with a ton of people and had a group of about 25-30. The maze we all decided on going through was Trail of Terror. The wait was pretty long, but it went by fast because I had fun in line with friends. Trail of Terror was really fun, and I liked it being in the woods. I kind of think it lacked a theme this year.. It was still good, and had quite a few good scares, but I just didn't like it as much as before (when it was my favorite maze). I really liked the end though.. And if you want to know what happens I'll put it in spoiler tags. SPOILER* At the end, a guy with a chainsaw stood in the middle of the path, and when you tried to walk by he swung the chainsaw by you. It was pretty hard to get by him.. But I did it in the end All in all, I give this trail a 7/10. Some of our group wanted to see Hot Blooded, while my part of the group wanted to go to the CarnEVIL. (Heehee, like we wanted to go to the carnival.. I'm so funny right?) But one person in our group was hungry, and I was also a little bit hungry so we went to LaRosas. We walked past the Carnevil line and it was super long, so we skipped it. Diamondback came up, and while I was tempted to ride it, the line was an hour, and I had to leave in less than an hour, so we skipped that as well. We walked to Urgent Scare, which I really wanted to go through because there were so many KICers in there, but the line was an hour and 45 minutes! I was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! I wanted to check out Club Blood. So we walked allllllllll the way to Club Blood to find that the line was all the way back by FD. Some people wanted to do CornStalkers, so we did, and the line was short. I have to say, I actually liked this one! It had a few good scares (since I was in the front), but I think the theme stunk. I really would like to see this maze back in Rivertown.. Not in Action Zone. I give this one a 6.5/10. It was now 11:30, meaning I had to go. So I gathered my friends and we went home. I have to say, despite the very very long lines for everything, I had an AMAZING night. Also, I think they should've made some Haunt having to do with SOB. It was really dark back there, and you could hardly see SOB from the rest of the park. It would've been a good one. Okay, I'm done now. Enjoy. My wife and I grabbed a bite at Fright Feast which was a real let down but we got to go first in line for Slaughter House I give it a 7 out of 10 and I really loved how they ended the attraction. I give Corn Stalkers 8 out of 10 since there was alot of fog making it hard to see what comes up next. Cut Throat Cove 5 out of 10 good theming but just not scary. Hot Blooded 10 out of 10 awesome show I love the water effects and storyline that went along with the songs. Tomb Stone Terreritory 8 out of 10 but it was just like headless hollow but they had some cowboy guy talking during the train ride that you could hear. Cementary Drive 1 out of 10 it just sucked the voices inside my head scare me more then our short walk thru the Cementary!
