Hey gang,

I searched and couldnt find the topic so I started this. Has anyone been watching the show, "Life after People" on the history channel? Well it talks about what happens when people abandon an area, they even use Americana as an example of what happens after 7 years. Well what I thought was important was the little part where they mentioned how close the Screachin Eagle is to collapse. The wood is okay, but the cables holding up after years of neglect are fraying and breaking. They said with in a few years the ride will collapse on itself, and possibly the lift hill could be on the first things to go. Sad thoughts. Even more upsetting was the owner of Americana/Lesourdsville Lake talking about how the park is in such bad disrepair.... sad sad sad...

Yes, I was this during the summer. It also talked about the paint fading. I remember going there when I was little.
