January 16, 201016 yr ...For example, when I asked the park poobah what plans he has for this season's food offerings, he let slip that he appropriated the idea for "big skillet" food stands (at which chefs cook the ingredients for meals in giant wok-like pans over open fires as guests watch) from Dollywood after he visited the park last year. Shapiro said that his travels also took him to Indiana's Holiday World in 2009.... http://themeparks.ab...competition.htm
January 16, 201016 yr That is pretty cool he did that. I wonder if Mr. Kinzel would ever do something so smart? Also, from the comments sections: This industry is friendly enough that, at Holiday World at least, there are no "enemy lines" well, unless Mr. Shapiro took my parking space or something! :0) We happily host park heads all the time and certainly would have extended the same hospitality to Mr. Shapiro had we known he was planning to visit us. It certainly makes sense, though, they he preferred to experience us as a park guest, perhaps with his family. That's always fun, too! Does that person really work at Holiday World? I doubt it, but I don't know.
January 16, 201016 yr Yes, she does. Paula is the director of public relations at HW, and is the moderator of the Holiblog. She's been seen on several coaster forums as well.
January 16, 201016 yr I knew there was a Paula at HW, but I did a quick search (like 15 seconds lol) and didn't see anything. Plus, it is the internet and anyone can say they're anyone.
