god i must be old.i remember that song from years ago.

And of course with the song comes the infamous urban legend of a scream heard midway throughout being someone killed or hurt and the recording equipment picking up the sound of their shriek...

It makes me wonder: What, in the early 1970s, would inspire a band from southwest Ohio to write a song with "roller coaster" in the title. Hmmmm... Just wondering...

Just kidding; I like your thinking! From what I can tell, Lakeside Park closed in 1964, but Kings Island was alive and kicking when the song was released in 1975!
