Colonel_SoB_fan Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 And few years back redone by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers Quote
Mr. Coastermania Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 god i must be old.i remember that song from years ago. Quote
count_of_tuscany Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 And of course with the song comes the infamous urban legend of a scream heard midway throughout being someone killed or hurt and the recording equipment picking up the sound of their shriek... Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 It makes me wonder: What, in the early 1970s, would inspire a band from southwest Ohio to write a song with "roller coaster" in the title. Hmmmm... Just wondering... Quote
standbyme Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 And few years back redone by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers A few years?!! That was 14 years ago! I hope you're not planning on being a doctor..."Just take your pants off and i'll be with you in a FEW minutes". Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Wow, really it been that long. Crap I remember hearing that on the radio. Now I feel old Quote

Hmmmm... Just wondering... I don't know... maybe the old Lakeside Park that was in Dayton? Just kidding; I like your thinking! From what I can tell, Lakeside Park closed in 1964, but Kings Island was alive and kicking when the song was released in 1975! Quote
trevor75 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I remember this song from Final Destination 3 Well also the remake of the song was in the movie "Bevis and Butthead Do America" which was out when i was in college. So now i feel old! Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 As someone who's reminded vividly of wonderful trips to Kings Island when hearing "Jive Talkin'" by the Bee Gees, "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder, and "Telephone Line" by Electric Light Orchestra, I'd like to say that you, my friends, have much, much more time to enjoy before feeling old! So enjoy the unfettered bliss of youth! Quote
