cool relief on an already cool day

welcome back folks, after a while of not posting & just skimming thru my subscribbed daily topics. i figured it was time for me to get back into the swing of things. ive already went to a lot of amusement parks this season for it to just begin, but here is a tr of holiday world on may 19th 2010.

i was up early (due to takin my gma & aunt holly to the airport (they were heading to VEGAS)). so after that, i came back home to switch vehicles. then i was on my way to holiday world. to pass the time i had my bb8330 plugged into its travel charger while listenin to the pandora app (i had it tuned to a channel i created that was centered around peter gabrial's sledgehammer.)

i arrive to find that not alot of people was there. while waiting for the park to open, pat koch came up to the front to greet the days guest's. immediatly she noticed me as that made my 4th visit to the park & have seen her 3 out of the 4 visits. once the park opened, i speed walked my way to voyage. i was greeted to "NO-ONE" in the station (other than the ride-ops of coarse. )

i got 2 backseat "ZEN" rides on voyage with a 3rd only having a couple sit in the very front. after that i went down to the Pepsi oasis for a "FREE" gatorade, then i went back to voyage for another zen ride. then some people started to show up, so i went for a ride on gobblers getaway. as i am a fan of dark rides, i despise the ones that have gun's & you shoot @ targets to make more scenery pop-up. so i rode just watchin the scenery to appriciate the skill of detail that went onto the "cut-outs". even the ride-op was tryin to show me that i have to shoot the turkey caller. i know how, i just choose not to.

then i went for a ride on turkey whirl. after that, i swagger'd up to hallowswings. i like the startin buzzer, sign, & 2 size'd seats. then i went over to legend & rode it followed by a spin on scarecrow scrambler. i decided to go for a ride on raven, i spaced it & forgot to put away my phone. i got phone/wallet/key nazi'd (as kat puts it). i tried to assure them that it was safely going into a zipper'd pocket but it still got confiscated into a "FREE" locker. so i took that key & shoved it into the zipper'd pocket.

by now the park started to get the school bus crowd, so i went to splashin safari. that area of the park stayed virtually dead, due to the weather. so i took me 5 walk on rides on wildebeest. come to find out that the green rafts are the official tube of the ride, the yellow ones i rode that past saturday was just temporary. since i was already wet & havent went to any waterpark in 5+yrs, i went to explore this one. i did all of the tube rides except zinga & bakuli.

i also did both wave pools, jungle racer (which hurt as i got airtime, then nose-dived into the water @ the bottom), & bahari river. by far my favorite tube slides were watubee & zoombabwe. then i went back to wildebeest for 5 more rides. then it was time to eat, so i dried off the best i could & ventured to plymouth rock. on my way out of splashin safari, i heard a kid enter into there sayin "SPLASHIN SA-FERRY?!" got over to plymouth rock to find them closed, i really <3 that place so EPIC FAIL on them. while i was there, i took a spin on gobler getaway.

as i exit the ride i saw 2 amish ladies waitin for a ride on turkey wirl, all i can say is LOL!!! so i swagger'd on up to kringle's, checkin out the gift shops while i was @ it. i pigg'd out @ kringles & each combo comes with a cookie. what did i get you ask??? well, i, got a combo #2; which was 2 slices pizza that wasn't shrewd. it also came with a side of breadsticks, which leads me to my next pick; which was a combo #5, it contained a double burger & some fryz. for the price, was realy nice; after my season pass discount, it was $13.29. oh, you wont see even see that @ KkkIiiiiiiii!!!

sorry bout the jingle, but i did go to kringle's. after all that, i went through the gift shops @ the front. then i mossy'd on back to splashin safari. rode watubee again followed by zoombabwe, then i went & rode wildebeest 7 more times. after there i went to the bahari wave pool, then it was back to dry off again. so i went to voyage & stayed there until the end of the day. it wouldve been okay but this one teen asked if he could go infront of me to be with his buds, i politly told him no & tried to explain there was a bunch of empty seats behind me.

so thru-out the ride, he was just bein a menace. when we got back to the station, i decided to flash the fangs @ him, then he became a bother sayin stuff like "i aint ever met a vampire before, can i get yo autograph?" the last ride of the day, was just me, him, & 1 of his bud's. when we get off the ride, he goes boltin for his other buds. the one bud kinda stay's with me & say's "never mind about him, he's an idiot". so i get to talkin to him bout ki's haunt. we catch up to the rest & he tell's them im a scareactor & they asked me to do something scary. so i do my wickedly evil snarl, & they bolt for the entrance.

i was really tired when i left that i had to stop on 65 3x's to take a nap. by the time i got home, it was 3:30-4am.

sounds like you had a great day ride wise, even if you did have a few rough patches (teen on voyage), you managed to make the best of it.

i've seen so many people have something like that incident happen and let it ruin the rest of their time at that park. a great big pat on the back for you.
