McSalsa Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 When? And what will the weather be like that day? It's going to be in about two weeks, in August, if it happens. I don't know what the weather will do. What I'm hoping for- light on-and-off rain, just enough to deter crowds but not enough to shut down rides. Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 In recent years, the park has remained relatively busy weekdays right up until there are no more weekdays on its schedule. In any event, the lines will be what the lines will be. If you can go, do so and enjoy. If you have a Platinum Pass or stay on property, be sure to enjoy the one hour early entry and ERT. Quote

Tragically, I do not have a Platinum Pass and we probably cannot afford to stay on a local hotel and thus, no ERT. We aren't great on money and will likely have to settle for a cheap hotel. But we might stay for 2 days, my sister has mentioned. Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Still, there is much to be gained by parking in the back by Gemini and using the dry park gate by the entrance to Soak City. Go where the public isn't as much, and you can get a lot done... Quote
Guest Millennium Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 My favorite time to go to CP is Halloweekends. It kills KI's HH imo. If you get there 5-ish..you can get walk ons on most of the rides for a few hours (before 8 or when the Haunts open) Or at least last year when I went during late OCTOBER that is how it panned out. Some very cool haunted houses/haunts too! So if you are planning to go to Cedar Point, I would suggest Halloweekends. However, I would not suggest it if you are going for the first time. ^And don't miss Gemini! I forgot how great that coaster was! Quote
Cormaster Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 It would seem with Cedar Point, forget all the tricks you learned about how to dodge the crowd from Kings Island. Its 100% pure luck. My visit the first day wasn't bad, the second day was considerably more busy. Just go and enjoy, and heres a tip: Mobile internet and facebook can really pass the time if you have to wait for a ride! Its the best of their wooden coasters, even if it "technically" isn't a wooden caoster. Quote
