August 1, 201016 yr Prehistoric Forest Adventure Park in Marblehead, 57 years old, to close: ...The Tiemans, who bought the park in 1995, plan to pack the park's two dozen or so dinosaurs into storage and close up Mystery Hill cabin, a shack that defies gravity atop a hill in the park. "We're not interested in selling it at the moment," Len said. August 1, 201016 yr It's sad to see these roadside attractions continue to die off. If they continue to fade away as quickly as they are now, in may only be a few years until "Chester and Hester's" at Disney's Animal Kingdom becomes loved for its "authentic" themeing!
August 1, 201016 yr Author So close to Cedar Point, and yet most visitors had no idea it was even there...
August 2, 201016 yr I have cousin who live nearby, in the mid 90's they won free tickets to Prehistoric Forest. The park was corny, outdated, and a bit run down back then, I'm surprised there still open (for now at least). Erie and Ottawa counties are terrible at promoting the nearby attractions, my favorite is the Merry-Go-Round Museum in downtown Sandusky, good luck finding out about it if you don't know about it.
