DegenRider Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 ^Most every coaster. Theres a few out there they don't have but its the most comprehensive database of coasters out there. A flatride database is around too but is nowhere near as good IMO. Quote
PKI Punk Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 In this picture, it looks like the stairs into the station are the same as the are now on The Vortex. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery627.htm?Picture=8 Quote
DegenRider Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 (edited) All questions ANSWERED! You can see where you went under the station then came back up another set of stairs. Edited January 1, 1970 by sobrider Quote
Beastfreak Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Those stairs are still there, just blocked off. Quote
coasterrz Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Yes, those stairs are still there, but they reworked that area, so guests could bypass the stairs and enter the station directly. Quote
CoasterKrazy Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Wow! That's an awesome picture. Why would Kings Island make the queue shorter for a record breaking ride like Vortex? Quote
derbeast Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 That is a very poorly designed station, I think it's annoying to have to walk up and down all those stairs, plus they're hard to clean. Also with a que under the station, it would have been impossible for the ride ops and even security to know what was going on down there. Quote
crosscountry4891 Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Yea, that station is poorly designed. I'm suprised they would let you go under the station since there could be a lot of vandilism. Sobrider, do you have any other pictures of The Bat? Quote
Beastfreak Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Also with a que under the station, it would have been impossible for the ride ops and even security to know what was going on down there. Gotta remember, this was built originally back in the early 80's... People were more trusting back in the day. Quote
CoasterKrazy Posted January 28, 2004 Posted January 28, 2004 I can't really tell; was that picture taken during contstruction or de-construction? Quote
