Recently with the $69.99 price you were able to renew your 2011 pass online by either using the barcode on the back of your pass and keeping your existing pass or a new pass with a new photo.

Now that the $69.xx price has past and a new price of $84.xx is on VisitKi.com; I wonder why they took away the option of using the barcode to renew your pass? It looks like you have to get a new card and picture in order to renew. It would save time and processing to keep the bar code option going.

Does anyone have an answer why that option is not available?

Perhaps because the renewal online process is not working smoothly? I heard that one person who had done that had problems at Kings Dominion on Sunday...
