The Interpreter
County planning staff will conduct a balloon test this Wednesday to evaluate the visual impact of a new rollercoaster proposed for Busch Gardens in 2012.The test runs 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Two balloons will be used to demonstrate the height of the attraction, which exceeds the permitted 60 feet above ground level in two locations. Park execs filed height waivers and special use permits just before Thanksgiving. Based on the drawings, it appears much of the ride will be indoors. A 26,000-square-foot building will stand eight stories, and a “themed bridge” will extend 95 feet above the existing grade.... http://www.vagazette.com/articles/2010/12/07/news/doc4cfe2936c2f43603429414.txt

bkroz
A multi-launch, record-breaking coaster? Indoors? At Busch Gardens? As you can imagine, I'm more than excited. Are we looking at a detailed Revenge of the Mummy style dark ride / launch coaster? Maybe a Maverick-style ride like Cheetah Hunt?
Jasper
I have not been to Busch Gardens since they installed Griffon, I might have to wait around for a couple more years, if they do put in a new coaster, and take a visit to the park. Think more along the lines of a combination of the two......although the "dark" portion will be high speed and not show scene worthy like Mummy Think of what Italian Job was *supposed* to mimmick and feature.....that will come into play for this attraction The ride will follow a very similiar path to Big Bad Wolf's ending including the drop to the river....this would be where the themed bridge comes into play. People will be pleased, the ride will be a very worthy replacement for Big Bad Wolf.

The Interpreter
Perhaps because he does know something you don't.... Terp, trying to be helpful...and careful with his pronouns...
Delirium_Guy
You act as if you know something that we don't... If you've read any of my other posts you will know why. If there is something that *can* be shared, I will because I know there are members here who enjoy staying current on projects outside Kings Island. I will not post unless I know it is safe to do so. Those who know me well on here can vouch that I will only post legit information and not wild rumors that tend to circulate the parks. Terpy very much understands this. bkroz
I believe it! I'm only saying I'm jealous and that, if I didn't think you a man of character, I'd now try to buddy up to you in hopes of a hint or two...
The Interpreter
Good luck with that...that'd work for you as well that works for me with him and for him with me! ...or with the operators of this website with me or me with them....integrity is everything in this industry (or in most any endeavor)....once it's gone...I got nothing...and people know that...those who tell and aren't supposed to...soon know nothing worth telling...and often those who know and appear to tell without authority are actually doing that which is intended... It has ever been thus, and almost always will be. See also Wikileaks....(no, this isn't a political discussion, but I, among many others, am watching that one with great interest...) Be not jealous, either...reputations are built over time...and people will assess who and what you are and treat you accordingly...in fact, they already do.
