CYoung2003
Ladies and Gentlemen about to enter the stunt area, as you walk through the gate you will be given a number, this number is your seat number. Once recieving your seat number please follow the yellow arrows all the way around the base of the tower to your assigned seat placing all loose articles outside of the two yellow circles, off the steps, directly in front of you. As you take your seat please pull down on the green restraint and buckle your safety belt. As the ride operators come by to check your restraint please place your hands up with your palms out. Thank you and enjoy your ride on the Drop Zone Stunt Tower. Alright people, listen up. Im the stunt coordinator for the filming of Drop Zone. We've got a lot of work to do today and were on a tight schedule so lets just get started. First of all, I'd like to welcome all of you stunt doubles to the Drop Zone. As you know, were shooting the tower jump scene today. Before we shoot the final take, there are a couple of issues we have to cover. The director has informed me that due to the size of the safety gear, you must be at least 48 inches in height to ride. Also, due to the type of braking system, used for this stunt, this ride is not reccomended for stunt doubles with pacemakers, hearing aids, or metal implants. In order to ensure continueity to the scene, breaking in line or holding places in line are forbidden. Shoes, shirt, and pants, must be worn at all times. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the area. If you have any questions, please see one of the stunt crew. Thanks for your attention, and good luck. Now lets get this in one take! Obviously those are both DZ speils. I dont know if I got the second one right. Its a long speil. Im sure I forgot something. Oh well. We ask that you please secure any loose articles you may have such as hats, glasses, keys, wallets, cell phones, backless shoes or sandles into the grey pouches located directly infront of your seat. Please make sure you zip your pouch completely because this ride will take you upside down several times and you will loose any articles that are not seccured. As a remider paramounts Kings Island is not responsible for any articles left, lost, damaged or stolen while rideing. thankyou and get ready to experience tomb raider: the ride. or maybe facinatin, its not at all what youd call even odds. i suppose thats why my daughter laura chose the life of a tomb raider. with a fortune to spend in a thousand lifetimes she is not yet satified and so my spirit remains with her, watching over her for i fear that she may be attracted to a life which hangs in the ballance. it happened once again along the kimir trail... searching for the entrance and she couldnt shake the feeling that something was wrong. not exactly an unfamiliar feelin... she was in, the trick was getting back out agian. not so easy when the temple in question was guarded by a nasty curse. i suppose she just figured pop in, ge the treasure and that would be that......... coasterrz
How about the alien voice from the Flight of Fear preshow? "Imagine a world where the imperfections of human existance are a thing of the past. Where poverty, hunger and disease are no more. This then, is our invitation. Come with us. Enter our vessel. Come with us as we journey across the cosmos." Of course any part of that entire spiel is memerable after waiting in line for FoF for more than a couple times. Well I was a PKI Ride op for 3 season, and I've been riding SOB since 2000, it's kinda sad we all can remember these speils. Another one from Action Theater (2001) As you enter the buliding please walk all the way to the end of your row, filling up each and every seat. For your saftey and the saftey of those around you, please place all loose articles on the floor in front of you, now sit back buckle your seat belt and enjoy the ride. 7th Portal Quotes: "You should have stayed in the saftey of your homes, data radiers" "Your in the 7th Poral" Anyone remember anymore? adbort
Wow this topic got far more replies then I thought it would. Thanks for all your input. Keep them coming. I know the handrail speil has been said but here's what I used to say at Vortex when I was a ride op. "Ladies and Gentlemen waiting in line for The Vortex, it's for your saftey and for the saftey of those around you, that you please don't sit, stand or climb on any of the blue handsrails gates or the fences, once again please do not sit, stand, or climb on any of the blue railings gates or the fences, thank you. Somedays when the park was busy I would make up a speil as the guests entered the train at Vortex... "Attention oncoming Vortex riders, we are going to take you up 148 feet and drop you straight down 138 feet. Then we are going to take you thru 6 loops, 2, 360 degree verticle loops, 2 corkscrews and a boomarang. You'll be traveling at speeds of up to 55 mph, we'll see you back in the station in 2 1/2 minutes, now get ready to rock and roll and enjoy your ride on Vortex" Clear!!! TraderJake
God I wish certain speils verbatim but the only one I remember verbatim is "Fearfest is now closed. Get Out!" That spiel is back from 2001 I think. There are other ones that I think I know... "Attention WaterWorks guests, at this time the water activity area is still closed. We are currently monitoring a storm that is currently moving through the area..." It goes on but I can't remember the rest. There's Also.... "May I have your attention please, Waterworks is now closed. If you have entered through the season pass gate please be advised that this gate will be closing shortly. As a reminder all lockers must be cleared by this time. For your enjoyment the remainder of rides and attractions will remain open until (park close time) tonight. Thank you." TowerGuy
I feel so bad, I have been away form the park too long. I was trying to type out the load speil that Scooby and Shagy would say at SDATHC, but I just couldn't get it right. If anyone else can remember the spiel, please post it. After we closed I used to hear this over at Ship after we closed.
