PhantomTheater
http://www.facebook....ny/501741920841 CNL Lifestyle Properties, Inc., owners of Darien Lake Theme Park Resort and Elitch Gardens, and Herschend Family Entertainment (HFE), the nation's largest family-owned theme park corporation, jointly announced today that HFE would assume the day-to-day management of both properties starting January 25, 2011. Hopefully they spruce up DL a little bit.

Delirium13
I'd like to see how Herschend would run Kings Island. To me, they seem like they'd do a good job. Sorry, I know that's slightly off-topic...
The Interpreter
Wait just a minute. Herschend is NOT acquiring these properties, they are merely going to manage them (for now): ... HFE will become the management company for all properties; CNL Lifestyle Properties remains the owner. ... Edit: Topic title now corrected. Thanks! The Interpreter
Related thereto, the former owner of Wild Waves will manage it for CNL in a very similar deal: http://www.pnwlocalnews.com/south_king/fwm/business/114596329.html
pkiboy
I haven't been to Darien Lake yet but I hear that they wont accept Debit or Credit cards at there food stands. Hope this changes if I visit this year.
