Cincy Zoo and Indy Zoo

Featured Replies

So this past week I took a complete break from the KI...stuff for my two favorite nearby zoos.

On Tuesday I went to the Cincinnati Zoo. Got my glimpse of little Zuri, the giraffe calf born back in April, sadly she isn't really on display (you can still see her) as she has been remaining indoors recovering from her leg injury with her mom Tessa. However her father Kimba can be seen and fed by the GP :) I liked "Night Hunters" tho I miss it being Cat House. A bobcat in there found my camera bag interesting cause she was pawing at the window and trying to get a closer look at the bag (probably thinking something of interest is in it) and me being the kitty person I am..thought it was flipping adorable, haha.

Yesterday (June 25th) I went to the Indy Zoo to take advantage of the nice day. It has been quite a few years since I been out there so had some catching up to do on what was new. I met up with a local and friend to the area and we visited all the animals exhibits. We spent probably... 2 almost 3 hours in total for the day with the dolphins :P Indie and China took interest in our SHINY keys so we kind of took our keys and toss them in the air as the dolphins followed them to the floor. Yay for shiny objects. I love their exhibit and the dome, my only complaint is the reflections on the glass. Though I'm over all satisfied with the pictures I did get as I was expecting worse. I have to say my favorite exhibit for the entire afternoon was actually the tigers. I <3 the big cats. I saw the coaster and watched it for a couple minutes but didn't ride it as I didn't find it that important. How long has that coaster been there? Cause I don't remember it.

There are a couple on FB, but I put all my stuff on Flickr and typically leave FB for personal favorites

Great pictures, thanks for sharing! I'm planning on making a trip out to the Cincy Zoo sometime this week to check out Night Hunters, I can't wait.
