missmolly
I am planning a trip to KI for this summer and was wondering when the best time to go would be. It will have to be between mid June to early August and I would like to go when it will not be too busy. We have gold passes and plan to stay for a week. I was also was wondering when the gold card special days for the summer will be out. I see the days for April and May are out but I am wondering about June July and August. I do not want to be there on a bring a friend free day but would like to be there on a day when you get into Action Zone early. I am also wondering if anyone has the height requirements for the new water park rides. Thanks for your help
StXBomber
If you can make it down nest weekend, go then. Easter weekend has a reputation for being nice and empty. If you can't, try coming on a weekday during summer. Stay away from weekends if possible. Also, check the weater. If they predict light showers, that would be a good day because most people wouldn't want to go even if it's just barely raining.
carpetarson
It seems to me that the best time to go is on Mon. thru Fri. Now i know alot of people disagree with me on Friday being a good day but its always been good to me. Especially before 5 o'clock when people start getting off work. 0-120
That was so awesome. I rode so much within that hour. I can't wait for some more 2 hour visits to PKI and riding everything descent.
swampmonster
It looks like the different areas are taking turns with the early rides days when I look at this: http://www.pki.com/perks7.jsp Hanna Barbara and Nick Central seem to be open early every Sunday, though. 0-120
That's cool. I'm excited for those Rivertown days! Coney Mall, Kid's Rule, not really so great. I could go for a FoF marathon!

0-120
Awesome Aussie Twister & Bondi Pipeline: 46" Not recommended over 52"? Not much room to spare there, only a 6" gap between those.
Tanner
It says not recommended so I'm hoping that means you may still ride. I'm over 75"!
missmolly
Thanks for the input. I did plan to go Sun. PM through Thurs. maybe Fri. We will play it by ear but kinda wanted to hit the zoo too. I was just wondering what time of summer is best. Thanks also for the height requirements. Looks like my boys can ride eveything in the water park! That is always a big concern with my very daring 7 yr old. He is so dissapointed when he can't ride something. I feel so bad for him. He really wants to ride all the cool stuff his Brother does. We went to PKI last summer and his Fav. ride was SOB, but he really wanted to try faceoff and delerium. He was a little bummed about tomb rider and FOF but he couldn't see them so it wasn't as bad. And chocolate dippin dots helped Thanks again!
stephenmayes
The little lad will be big enough for those rides in a year or so....enjoy it while you can though b.c the rides that he cant ride right now usually are 3 of the longest lines in the park... Face/OFF, Delirium, and Tomb Raider ~Tiny~
missmolly
Oh I still have to stand in those lines with his brother! The little guys just stays with dad while we do. Last year we sat in FOF for like 45 min as next in line after a 45 min stand in line because of some trouble with a bar you can hold onto during the ride if you want. My big kid went on delerium by himself during and early entry one morning and once during walk on Wed. The lines were always too long while Dad was with us to do something with the little guy. But I stood in line with hime more than once for tomb rader and face off. I hope we get as lucky as we did last year. It seemed like the park wasn't too bad the week we went and we really had a great time. The kids are really looking forward to going. Now I have to start surching for a place to stay. Last year we stayed at the KI hotel and conf. center but DH's worked paid for it because he was in town on business. I didn't think it was all that nice for the money they want and plan to try someplace else this year.
0-120
How crowded do you suspect it to be next Saturday? I'm almost certain I'll go either way but if it should be more crowded then I don't want to have too high of expectations line-wise.
