The Beast opened for the first time on Friday, April 13th, 1979. Today is really the 25th birthday for the ride. HAPPY B-DAY BEAST! Haha!

This day 25 years ago, Beast had it's official media day.

Actually, the 13th was media day for the park which some may say is the official opening?

The Beast is my favorite Wooden Coaster The Raven,Ghost Rider,The Legend and many others aint got nothing on The Beast! But I hear that the Thunderhead down in Dollywood is becoming #1 hmmm I will be the judge myself when I go down there this fall.

I saw the date somewhere and posted without looking. I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened and when looking at the forums I just look at the main PKIU page.
